Do you still cry when someone does you wrong?

Here's another fist-grader question :) My son just asked me the other day if we also cry if someone has done something bad to us. Well, I've learned to suppress that emotion. I know a lot of people would say it's all right to cry. But do you? Or like me, you opt to suppress it?

Good thing your son open up this question.. I myself already forgot when was the last time i cried because someone had done wrong to me.. Hmmmm well to remember it, i guess that was 2 years ago but i did not totally cried, just teary eyed..ahaha but for now if the mistake done to me is forgivable, i do forgive,it's not a big deal for me since everybody tends to have mistake.

2 years is not that long a time :) Just kidding. Well, it's good that you can easily forgive. I usually have a hard time doing that.

Well, I don't really suppress my emotions as that's bad but either do I cry in front of the personWell, I think I only do that in front of my wife as she's the closest to me & she understands? Nah, if it's in front of your enemies you'll just get yourself into trouble. Well, at least that's my opinion

Yeah, I wouldn't want to give the person who wronged me the pleasure of seeing me cry.

Our enemies will only take advantage over our weaknesses to use it against us.

I am 29 years old, and right now I cry more than I ever have in my life. At least once a day I find time to be by myself and cry. It is the only way to let some of my stress out.

I shout when I'm stressed out. I hop into my car, take a drive around the block with my car windows closed and the radio turned up and then shout. Everyday? Try not to be so stressed out, nonersays. It's not healthy.

To cry as they say is a way of letting go of your emotions of sadness, pain, anger, etc.. but contrary to that one would think that your a weakling or one who despairs easily. oftentimes when i do have mixed negative emotions, i try my best to suppress it too, but when i have the chance to be alone i tend to cry as it easily trash out the negative thoughts in me, and then feel more better..waaaaaaahhh!

No, I also don't think that crying is a sign of weakness. I haven't cried for a long time. I think the last time was in grade school. Unless a tear dropping is considered crying.

It depends. If the thing done to me is bearable, I do not cry. But if it really drove me nuts, I really shed tears due to anger. If the bearable issue is recurring and everything goes over and over again like a cycle, sometimes I cry at it --- a tear of being helpless. But nevertheless, I still find ways to solve the issues.

Yeah, that's the important thing. Find ways to resolve whatever was the cause that made you cry.

No i do not cry anymore when other hurt me, knowingly or unknowingly. At this age, the person is mature enough to understand the world and must understand one thing that everyone you care about will hurt you someday. And you feel that you are hurt by them because you care for them. Forgive is the best thing in the world that can help you to sustain relationships.

i do cry but only when i am very upset and it takes alot to make me mad enoguh to cry.. i think crying is good for you and it helps you express your emotions and it is not good to bottle stuff up.. i still try not to cry unless im really upset.. and then when i cry, i cry hard and have trouble stoppping very easily. its usualy due to getting my feelings hurt as i wear them on my sleeve..

You're right that bottling up one's feelings isn't a healthy habit. I guess I got used to doing it. And probably I got influenced by society's dictate that men don't cry :)

I've always been curious why a lot of people cry after the fact. I mean, is it because you don't want to give the other person the pleasure of seeing you crying?
