should i spend $100 for a professional to set up my blog? I am really lost with this blog, and I am confused with several things, such as making font larger, adding google analytics, etc. I knew it would save me a lot of time if i let a pro set up, because I am new to blogging. However, i don't want to spend $100 setting it up, and then not be able to make more than $100 off of it. One of the goals for my blog is to make money from it. I want to make more than I spend, is this reasonable for a blog? Do you guys have any experience, where you have had a pro do it and then you made more money than you spent?

No, you should not spend that for anyone to set up your blog for you. A blog is a personal thing and should be added to on a regular basis - weekly, monthly or whatever - and if you cannot learn to manage it yourself, then you are better off not using that kind of page. By all means pay someone $100 to TEACH you how to set up and run a blog. That could well be money well spent but don't expect to have one set up for you and to earn even a fraction of what you spent! Learning to do something is cheap (especially if you pay nothing for it) because it only costs you time (There are PLENTY of sites which will teach you what you need to know for FREE, if you know what you need to learn and are prepared to search for the information). Time, from your point of view at the moment, is probably cheap. Look at it this way. Which would you rather? Pay $100 for one good restaurant meal or pay $100 to someone to teach you how to cook the same thing with confidence?

This is EXCELLENT advice. The only thing I would add is if you force yourself to learn by experience, you not only save the money but then the knowledge is YOURS for a lifetime.

I wouldn't spend $100 upfront. I'm using Blogger and I've still got a lot to learn about how to use it and add to it but I'd rather learn as I go and you can always edit things or change them back if you are unhappy with the results. There is a site called problogger which has a load of tips and information. I've also brought some books about Blogging on Amazon to point me in the right direction.

As a college student I used to create blogs for people to save them time and there is no way you should pay such an amount to someone to create your blog! Firstly, you can make good money off your blog in the long run, don't expect the earnings to be amazing right away but with time you will get there. I earn $100/month off my blog with ease but that too me a while to reach. Getting someone to help you with the blog is a great idea and will save you a lot of time and headache but not at that price.

I've never set up a blog but I've had a look into it before you certainly don't need a professional not for that price anyway, you'd need a lot of traffic going to your blog to make that worthwhile. It's just one of those things I think that you will learn from doing yourself without the help of a pro.

I don't think that you should spend 100 dollars just to set up your blog, you can use blogger which is the easiest or try to get a help from a friend who is computer whiz, fi you spend 100 dollars you'll never know if you may get it back from your blog.ok?
