When I was a kid during recess the teachers lots of times had us kids play certain games together that my kids never have and never heard of until I mentioned it to them. Red Rover, duck duck goose and lots of other ones.Have you heard of these games or played them when you were a kid or other games that your kids don't or never heard of.

My kids think i came over on the ark, lol. I don't think any kids play games like we did. Most of them now don't get out of the house & in front of the tv. When my grandson comes we always play outside weather allowing it because he loves being out & doesn't get to be at home he told me. I think it sad that kids don't get to go outside & play.

Thank you for commenting.Yes, it is sad. It's neat that you play with your grandkids. That is a real good quality time thing with you that they can have real good memories doing with you.

I do the same thing with mine. They are so used to it that sometimes I miss out on adult time because they get a hold of my hand and lead me to go play with them. LOL. Mine are just 3 & 4 years old.It makes a closer bond too.

I can't recall ever playing Red Rover myself, but I knew what it was and I think I watched a few games from the sidelines. Duck duck goose I played all the time. I played duck duck goose with a pair of kids that I was babysitting not that long ago. So I don't think the games are totally obsolete. Maybe you just have to teach your kids those games. They won't know them unless someone teaches them.
