When i was a teenager , i had a audio cassette of my cousin sister which she gave to me as she was getting married and as custom younger sister gets most of elder sister stuff. The audio cassette's name was something best love songs.I don't remember the name exactly.I used to like this song the most "leaving on a jet plane" so yesterday when i was on youtube i suddenly searched this track and got it.I didn't knew the singer name is john denver as i was downloading this song i saw a comment that john denver died in a plane crash just as he sang in his song.I couldn't believe it.Such beautiful voice and he knew how he is gonna die and still enough courage to sing this song.Bravo man

I will admit that I cried when I found out about John Denver. He was one of a kind. I have several of his recordings and it still makes me sad to hear them. The song was one of my favorites, too.

I seriously doubt he knew he was going to die in a plane crash. But it is ironic...

hello akan, I love music a lot,it runs to me. I appreciate songs of different types. John Denver is one of the legends on "country music" he is on the line/kind of Elton John,Don Mclean. Try to search songs of these country singers and i am sure you will loved it. I also have files of Rahman songs, but one of my ever favorite is "En swasakaatre" My favorite singer is Barry Manilow and one of my best loved song is "Destiny " by Jim Brickman.. Try searching on youtube..here is one link of Don Mclean's all time hits "Vincent" this is not a referral link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wrNFDxCRzU enjoy listening dear

This song was very popular back then in the 70s' and I never get tired listening to it.It seems this song is prophetic too as other songs he made had elements of prophecy. He was very gifted, talented and very fine man as his songs revealed about him.
