Where would you want to go?

Every time I hear the word "vacation" the first destination that comes in to my mind is Batanes! It's always been on the top of my list.I heard and read that Batanes offers a European (Europe's my top international vacation destination) ambiance. And since it would cost me big time to go to Europe (Impossible for me) and Batanes' landscape is a bit similar to some places in Europe, then I'd really really be delighted to go there when I get the chance! How about you?

Hi there, great choice! I would love to go to Batanes too. For now, we're thinking of going to Bohol, to see the infamous Chocolate Hills, tarsiers and cruise in Loboc river. If you'll ask me about international destination I would really love to go to Paris or Japan! :)

Oh my! You mean FAMOUS? Why are you saying infamous? Chocolate Hills don't have a bad reputation. I'm hoping it's just a typo. Careful next time. :)

I would personally wanted to go to Bohol or Palawan for the nice and clean beaches and if I will be going abroad I'd say Hong Kong for the cheap stuffs where you could not buy here in our country and going abroad is really nice for the reason that you dont know the people and you would be quite challenge since the place is new and the language is different so youll have to adjust to their own culture.

Yes, that's true! being in a foreign land where everything is foreign to you is just what makes the whole experience more exciting!

For me... the places to go for a holiday has to be either Thailand or Bali. Thailand has not only the beach and island resorts but also the countryside, hills and culture. The Thai's are very easy going people with warm smles and a welcoming to all. They will go out of their way to help you and at leat 75% can speak some modicome of English. Bali has a wonderful coast line and a vibrant nightlife that just seems to party all night long. Again, because of their tourist trade about 90% of them speak English and go out of their way to accommadate the tourist as they are aware it is their lively hood. Both places have so much to offer that I guess my ideal holiday would be a 2 weeks stay in Thailand and then fly down to Bali for another 2 wek stay. Ahhh, HEAVEN!!

Well, it would really depend on the interest of the person. What does he like to see? What does he like to do? For me, I really appreciate the beaches rather than the mountain scape. I heard Batanes has good mountain views, but you can hardly swim in their shores since they have rough waters. So maybe, if I have visited all breathtaking beaches in the Philippines, I may consider Batanes. Although my husband likes to go there too. For now, it's Davao for us in March.

Here in the Philippines, i would certainly would like to go to Baguio again with my family, specially this summer. We have been there like 4 years ago and we enjoyed it. I would like to repeat the experience, but it has to be with my family!

I agree with you that Batanes is one of the best places to go in the Philippines. A lot of stories and blogs are unanimous in saying that the place, people and culture there is unique from the resot of the country, not mentioning the climate there that really gets cold during this time (December - Febraury). It is also one of my top picks to go with, and will come true by May. :)

I heard a lot of great things about Batanes and seen lots of videos and photographs too. And I regretted having missed the opportunity to go there when I was still connected with the Department of Agriculture :( I was supposed to go there on two official trips, but both times I had to cancel my trip since they conflicted with more important functions. It's really a pity. I would've gone there for free :)

Each place has something especial to offer. It may not be as beautiful as boracay, palawan, bohol or even batanes. If I have the money, I would certainly tour around the world and experience first hand what the place has to offer. It would be a great learning experience not only as far as the site is concerned but culturally as well.

It does not really looks like a European city or something but I think Batanes reminds us of a scene in The Sound of Music with the rolling hills of Austria as their background. If you have seen it, you will say, Yeah, it really looks like Austria." hehehe... Some says it looks like New Zealand because of some scenes shown in The Lord of the Rings. However it looks, there is this certain charm that you will say that it is Batanes. And that charm makes me really wanna go there. Sigh! I wish they have a promo on their airfare already... hahaha...
