Hey guys! Do you play the guitar? What do you like to use more? I personally prefer acoustic guitars you can bring it along everywhere you go w/o worrying about electricity, amplifiers and speakers. But yes, it depends on the type of music or if you are playing w/ a band. But what do you like, if it's for personal use only? :)

Yes I believe so too! :) Electric ones are more for the rock and roll/band type of music :)

acoustics are brilliant, and indeed romantic. i have an electric blue yamaha. its my baby :) i also have a prs though, which is brilliant when you wanna rock out! some riffs just dont cut it on an electic though, so you gotta slow it down, give it some picking, and serenade people with it :)

I have a fender squier stratocaster before, but I sold it because I really did not get to play it all the time. I bought a simple acoustic after instead.

yes I can play the guitar. I can play the electric, and the acoustic guitars. and the Bass guitar. :D Yes, I'm very much talented. I get that from my dad, and his dad. :D I think on my dad's side, his whole side of the family are musicians. The type ;of music that I like to play is mainly rock, and metal. Kind of like Deicide, Slayer, etc. I only use the power cords. They're the best.

Same here, everyone in the family knows how to play an instrument, sometimes we jam altogether and sing. I'm planning to teach my sons as well.

I don't play guitar but my son do. He has both electric and acoustic guitar. As for me I like the sound of acoustic guitar more. The electric guitar does not have the natural sweetness of acoustic as far as my hearing is concerned.

Yes actually electric guitars are noisier in terms of sound output. Acoustics basically are for soft type of music.

Yes agree, she has to have the passion to play music. Passion helps you to master something and to be good at it.

Oh, continue your guitar lessons. Or better yet, learn it by yourself. It's easy. I actually learned by buying different songbooks and thru different guitar sites from the internet. It's never too late for you to learn if you want to. :)

I played the acoustic guitar and love acoustic music. You can even play rock on one.

Yes, I learned classical guitar, but I learned it on an acoustic since I didn't have a classical one. I hope to get one one day or a flamenco guitar. Those are the best.

I play guitar too. i like the acoustic too. It's very convenient to carry along as you said. But I also like the sound of the acoustic rather than the electric. I don't dislike the electric as it adds its sound in the mix to make it full. But I prefer the acoustic sound.

Sweet isnt it? I used to tease my husband, because he likes music but does not really have a knack on playing instruments, so most of the time I use to play and sing for him rather than him dedicating a song for me :)

Yeah, I play guitar for 15 years now. And I still love it. I have both acoustic and electric guitar. Personally, I like elctric guitar more. The only problem is I have to prepare the sets before I can even play. It take some work before I can play it. Acoustic guitar is very convenient to play. Just take it and play. But, I have my own preferance when playing acoustic guitar. If possible I just want to play acoustic guitar with size 9 string set. I don't like it big. It hurts my finger. So all of my guitar use size 9 string set.

Hi there, yes agree. It'll take you a while before you can actually play the e-guitar. But it is more easier to use in terms of "pressing" the strings, you do not have to have thick hand blisters to do that :)

I love my electric guitar no matter where I go. I can play good blues and jazz style music better than I can on my acoustic. The acoustic is great for harmonizing and playing with chords, but the electric is where I have the most fun. I love to just jam over the blues scale, and find other riffs to connect it to.
