myLot: Problems Solved

I may not be that active lately participating in the discussions due to a hangover from my son's successful surgery, but I do not miss reading new discussions of my friends, coming into my mailbox through notifications. And I found something about myLot. I guess it's not a brand new story and I know you have also noticed it. myLot is a place where people talk about their problems. And I am one of them. It's not that myLot answered the problem with my son's problem lately, totally, but myLot helped me find temporary solutions, at least, during the time we were still looking for the permanent solution. For the information of those who may not know me, my son Zayzay had a successful surgery, tonsillectomy. He had to undergo this operation for he had sleep apnea for 3 years. Now, I read about problems of our friends and other members here. Some talk about money problems, problems with their families, with their lovelife, health condition and even problems with their neighbors. Does myLot ever solved any of your problems? Or in some ways, have myLot helped you solve your problems whatever it was?

It helps me to vent in anonymity. I know that my husband does not frequent sites like this and have avoided referring my friends and family to this particular site. i have gone so far as to have a different screen name on here than my normal so if friends do happen on I am still in the clear. I do not know that any of my problems have been solved, but seeing other options sometimes helps.

just to know that we can share and vent our problems even when we cannot get the solution makes us feel better.

Well i wouldnt say anyone on here has helped me solve my problems but of course like you stated have given you solutions to help you out in anyways possible. Today i asked a question but till now i have not recevied any help from it of course but would really like some so maybe soon i will. I really like being on mylot just as well as you do and other mylotters to ask for help and see what they can come up with to help me. Its a great place to ask questions or ocncerns you might have and to also jsut vent any problems you might be having. I am so glad i fell upon this site when i did.

I do not remember coming to mylot with problems and solved. No doubt mylot has long been a place for many to wash their dirty linens in public. Many benefited from getting advices and counseling from experienced and learned people here. And the beauty is getting replies almost instantly and free of charge. The blend of the old and the young, the novice and the experienced is what make mylot a great meeting place for people of the world to discuss and to resolve problems together. Problem shared is problem halved. We make others read and help us to come out with their views so we can decide our next course of actions. It is really worth to hang around in mylot as we never know when problems come knocking at our doors. I hope Zayzay has recovered fully and my loving hugs to this little boy who is no stranger to many mylotters. I am happy that you paid tribute to mylot and all well meaning friends here for their invaluable advices in your moments of despair.

The myLot family has helped me get through some major problems until a solution was found or obtained and that, to me, is just as good as solving the problem. It solves the problem of retaining my sanity and that's always a good thing. My friends and even those I've never seen here before have been so very sympathetic to my problems whenever I'd write about them here. If it weren't for these wonderful people (yourself included), I think I would have lost my mind a long time ago. I get strength here. I am able to see things from all different perspectives and that can sometimes result in a solution to whatever problem it is. Our own families can sometimes be too close to a problem to be able to see a solution but when we ask our far away family members here, we can see things through their eyes and that can often lead to a permanent solution. I guess I don't really come here for a solution but just need to vent the frustration that builds up sometimes. This is a great place to do that. I don't know what I'd do without my myLot family. I'm soooooooo glad that Zayzay is sleeping well now and that nightmare is finally over for you. I think my husband could use that surgery, too, because he hardly ever uses the CPAP machine and his sleep apnea is pretty bad. He's been sleeping in the living room in a recliner since his spine surgery last week and, even though I set up the CPAP right next to the chair, he still won't use it. I just don't get it. Why would he pay so much for that machine and hardly ever use it? Doesn't make sense to me.

that is the beauty of myLot, Marti. who could expect a great help from someone whom you never met before. just like getting help from a stranger. that thing alone (the good news we had in 2009) will remain the best time for you and me. and my family will always cherish that time when you came in to our lives. i just feel sad when it was not a success, but it went a long way. Zayzay is really doing great now. when the surgeon told us that he could still snore in 2 to 3 months after the operation, we were amazed to find out that even during his first sleep on the day of the operation, we heard almost nothing. and until these days, nothing, as in nothing. that's right, nightmare is finally over. thanks to you, Marti. i also couldn't get it, why your husband doesn't want the surgery?

that's really bad. i think he knows about his sleep apnea completely so he should also think about you when you are also affected with it. if he really doesn't want the surgery, at least he use the machine.

It may not completely solve any problems but I enjoy, at times, to get feed back brom people I know have similar backgrounds as myself. I enjoy get a different opinion and fresh input as well. I am glad to hear that Mylot helped you find a temporary solution. Sometimes that helps immeasurably.

the interviews made during the height of the surgery. remember, a local tv program helped us with the surgery of my son. and almost all the events, the pre-op tests, laboratories, the operation, and after the successful surgery were done, were documented and aired in the program. i said, it's hard for us to reach everyone who helped to say "thank you" to all of them, to all of you.

talking about money, we only have to be active in participating in the discussions and i guess, that is the best way to do if we only need to earn extra cash.

Hello neildc. This, as i started a discussion yesterday, seams to be the year of the operations. With 4 in my family, and others as i hear about them, like this one in the topic, is a stressful year. I am really glad to hear that the operation of your son was a success, and i have learned new things here and found some ideas, maybe i can even call them sollutions to some problems as well.

Honestly my friend I really had so many problems one of the most is money matters that pushing me too hard..even right now as I write this. This haunted me for almost 4 months that reduced my body weight. I therefore conclude if there are people who would like to reduce their weight take some very serious problem and it's 101% sure you would get what you want with your body. Yes it's true, you might get some good ideas coming from our friends. In my case, as what I had said I have. In fact I have face it today, say 4 hours from now. We feel "against all odds" already on this problem because we're in trouble now with our family circle. It's money matters and I am 500% sure no one here would voluntarily help directly about money problems. Even whoever here who has the capacity to do it.. No worries, we have our own problems to be solved for another problems would come.. Mobhomeir here..

it started with the health condition of my son. and there goes the medication, which eventually failed to solve the problem. then came the surgery. but we never lose hope. i was heard over the internet. and there came, TV5 and St. Luke's. in between those times, myLot friends were there to help with our money problems.

Hello Neildc, I have told some of my secrets in my life here but it's rare that i get help coming from the mylotters because it's hard to follow it when i feel they are not in the situation that I am in.but i like it because they tend to talked to me and helped me with my problems. i am grateful for their advices and support for me though. i just hope things will turn around for me which is happening in the next few days.

Hi, Neil. I'm glad to see that you are starting to post again. Sigh... you know my story, well ,almost. Though, most of my concerns can not be resolved by merely posting them here but somehow it made me feel a lot better. I don't know what could have I done or what I could have been if I did not vent out or seek comfort here. I am still struggling but it is a lot easier to bear thinking that whenever it is too much for me, I always have a place to come to and friends who are willing to listen to me pouring out my heart even if I am a complete stranger to them. Yes, dear. Mylot has somehow solved the feeling of loneliness I often feel. Because whenever I'm here. I do not feel alone. There is always someone I can 'talk' to. Have a great day, Neil. Hugs to Zay.

firstly, i can post a piece when i am in the office. i could not post a lot when i am at home too. as you know, i have a lot of competitors with this netbook. one is zayzay who usually watch clips of power rangers on youtube. yeah, almost. i know all about you, almost. but who doesn't know almost everything about me? well, at least if our problems not been solved at once, we have vent them out that lightens our burden. we feel better when we know that, at least, someone will listen to us.

I’ve posted questions, problems, concerns...You name it and my MyLot friends have always been ever so helpful. A lot of the time having a forum where we can share our feelings is enough and if the actual problem is not resolved it is always helpful to have shared it with others. It is one of the reasons I love it here so much. To think we get paid for all this! Hope Zayzay is still doing great...

Hi neil, always know that you are blessed. Isn't it wonderful that all those hardwork and prayers really paid off? I have never really come across some concrete solutions to my problems here in mylot. But there had been many times that advice from many people calmed me down and helped me to have a more positive outlook in life. The mere opportunity of airing out your concerns where common people can sympathize along is already a big help. We can also cause trouble by our being mindless about the rules and simple manners but there's a lot of goodness in myLot which outweigh the bad.

Yes, a few times I've turned to MyLot for advise and got some pretty good suggestions. It's a unique site, and I'm grateful for it. I like it that I'm not judged left and right like in real life, as well. That means a lot for me. I hope this site stays around for a good many years!
