It's better to give than to receive?

I think that we should always give, but we have to receive too. I don't think a man can be happy if he only gives or only receives, but people will be happy when they give and also receive. Just my short and sincere opinion.

No, it's not. If you never receive, that means nobody loves you and nobody cares enough to help you. That would be depressing. It's better to both give and receive.

It's been a practice that the more you give then the more blessing you receive. Maybe its God's way of saying because you are a giver to everyone that is in need then i will give you more so you can have more to share to everyone who needs it.

thanks for such a good topic here. i always believe that giving ,a sort of nature action from you heart, is better than receiving. many ppl going to give stuff to others is just hoping to receive the same. is it meaningful by acting this?why not try another thought that giving is because of your real willing instead of treating it as a method.don't think much before u give out,and you will be surprised in the end.

Let's admit that it is not easy to give. But it is not only better to give, but the fact that you are able to give, is a blessing.

The saying is actually in the Bible. I think it has to do mainly with greed. Some people would rather receive gifts all the time and when it's their turn to give they don't want give up the money to either give money to the Church or to others or to buy anything for anyone. That's being greedy with what you have. You don't want to share.

It is much better to give than receive, I feel far better giving and I am not really good in receiving, someone once said to me I must let people get the same joy I feel by giving by accpting as well.
