I just met a childhood friend who slapped me before wrongly! we still joke about it up till now...lol someone slapped him from the back so he thought the guy was behind him directly...then WHOP! on my cheek...it was hot!..lol I think that was the last time I ever got slapped...it was hot! Have you ever been slapped wrongly or mistakenly or rightly...maybe in a brawl or so. How does it feel and what was your reaction or someone else's after the slap.

Oh yes I have just once, a friend and I were being silly, playing around and I gave some cheek back and my friend meant to give me a little tap across the face but it came across a lot harder...and the worst part was I was driving at the time...can laugh at it now but gave me a shock at the time.

hahaha....getting ready for it? but mind you some do slap us that we cant even be able to raise our hands we will just wan to walk away from the place as quickly as possible. Example is what i witnessed here in a foreign land. it was at a football pitch where everybody played soccer together but this group of locals are so silly and ill-tempered or simply stupid that they believe they can do anything to foreigners and get away with it. This guy just walk up to one African guy and said 'f**k you! and the next Slap! other Africans were like hey why...but since they all know what usually happens here they know the guy just want to start trouble, they just old the guy to ignore him but everybody was boiling...

Fortunately, I have never angered anyone enough for them to want to slap me in the face. I have never done that to anyone either. Of course there have bben times when I have come close to that feeling. what good can a slap in the face really do? what can it accomplish?

hmmm...you must be a cool dude...although some people are so bad and ill mannered that you will want to get some sense into their head by slapping them...maybe they wake up! but everything and every action has its consequences anyway.

I was slapped once by my mother when I chose my husband over my family. But that was long time ago and had been forgiven and forgotten. I was so hurt not physically but emotionally because she could not understand why I have to disobey her. I cried the whole night, the next day, the crying is over but deep inside, I'm still hurting. I just wished and hope, same thing will not happen between me and my daughter specially now that she's growing into a young woman, ready for love!

But if it was a mistake your mum made then, I hope you too don make the same mistake with your growing up daughter, ready for love! Thanks

I can only remember being slapped in the face once. I was screaming for a toy in a store and my dad slapped me. That's the only time I ever was slapped like that and the only time he ever hit me. It was so long ago, I don't specifically remember much about it, but I figure I must have stopped screaming.

I have been slapped so many times by my school teacher, father, mother including my neighbour for disobedience and during a quarrel or an argument. That was about 20 years ago when I was still a young child or boy. However, as an adult, I have never experience that kind of situation because people now respect me and they now treat me maturedly. I would not recommend anyone to be slapped because of the health hazards or implication. There are situation in which you got slapped by someone in a very hard way, you stand the risk of getting your eardrum destroyed. When the eardrum is destroyed or goes bad, you can not hear sounds or words. So I recommend that teachers, parents, and the public should refrain from the habits of slapping a child or just anybody. The health risk is very high. Our ears are very fragile and we must do everything to keep them healthy and clean. thanks

Yes Naija4real, wetin dey, thats true health implications should be noted. I remember a cousin of mine was slapped there and my mum been a senior teacher had to take it up because the boy could not sleep at night due to headache, the boy was later taken to hospital and he spent the whole week at home when his dad came over the weekend from his outstation he went with his son (my cousin) to his school in the morning while every student was in the assembly hall and as the son point to the teacher he went straight at him, this my uncle was big but very gentle, liked by everybody. The teacher sensed trouble as he was coming toward him with the boy tagging along his dad, the teacher picked to race away and we saw two oldies running after each other...before he was calmed down. The boy became instant star in school after wards. Naija for live!

I've never been slapped before and I would never let anyone do that to me either! Hahaha! I'm gonna rely on my instinct to see if who's about to slap me and then distance distance! I don't wanna have a dislocated jaw! Hahaha! I'm gonna stay away from those people who's got violent records. Prevention is better than cure! (:

wohoo...lol dont be so afraid of slap so...it may be good for you once in awhile maybe to remind you of something or make you do the right thing....lol...just joking, but dont do things that will warrant slap from anybody...yeah prevention is better than dislocated jaw with touch of dizziness.

Your discussion took me back to mychildhood days when I was slapped by teacher in the middle class for not doing my home work -that slap made me alert to do my works in time since then. Slaps sometimes mold a person too if done at the right time.

Yeah thats right maybe thats why I see in movie when someone is doing rubbish and the other guy will just give him/her a dirty slap to wake him/her up!...but slap could be dangerous.

I was slapped like about two times now. One was when we were still kids. Me and my sister was into a fight and I keep on throwing things at her and when she had enough of me, she gave me a slap which was like in the fifth gear. She hit me so hard that I got dizzy. Then I had this numbing feeling after. After that incident, I stopped making fun of her. I don't want to get hurt again. The second time was in high school. We were in a play and there was a part that a couple was in an argument which ended up with the girl slapping the boy. I was the guy and we talked about it before to take things easy but she was overwhelmed by the emotion of the character she portrays which made her hit me harder. That was a big ouch but the audience appreciated what we did.
