Australia, the winning team of the previous three world cups is looking to suffer a lot in this one. even zimbabwe has restricted them to 262. thats really strange, they have been defeated in both the warm up matches, thats strange, the way they are performing, thats strange. what happened to them is totally miserable. kangeroos dont look like to take away this world cup from subcontinent but cricket is unpredictable, anything can happen at any time. what you guys think if they will be able to take this world cup and specially i want to highlight the run out of ricky ponting that was some thing extra ordinary. as we all know that zimbabwe is a good fielding side they have the ability to change anything. lets see what they can make in this world cup. wish you enjoy a lot and have lot of fun

I think that this time the world cup won't go along with the Australians. They are in such a miserable situation.Om the previous match , really the Australians struggled to score runs, and that too to Zimbabwe.I have to agree that Zimbabwe showed some fighting spirit and they were able to restrict the Kangaroos to just 262 runs.

personally i have not watched the match as i was in office. but i heard from my friends that they were not very comfortable on the field. and the most important thing is we expect a team like Australia to completely dominate a weak team like Zim. But that was not the case and that means that they are not very strong. Even Zim made 171 which should not have happened with such a strong fielding side and fast bowlers like Lee and Tait. Let's see what is stored for future.

But, the dreaded pace attack of Australia did make it a very easy win for them. Zimbabwe could not cope up with the Aussie bowling unit. The Aussie batting unit is definitely a bit suspect currently especially with Mike Hussey not there in the middle order. It was a real strange decision a Greg Chappel kind of decision to drop him just before the world cup on injury woes when he is willing to play and wants to prove his fitness. But, it is good for their opponents as they are not complaining. Cheers! Ram

Australia is indeed struggling in this world cup having beaten in both their warm up matches, they are lucky to reach 262. They were struggling to score runs in initial overs. They may be able to cross this hurdle but does not look like they may be able to beat Pakistan and Sri Lanka even New Zealand they may not be able to beat. Let us see how far this team goes.

Hi, Do you remember the '92 world cup and how Pakistan came out from the ruins? Though Cricket is a lot unpredictable still we can not write off the power of Australian cricket. Zimbabwe restricted them with 262 means they might not even let them (Zimbabwe) play the full 50 overs. Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are both test playing teams and therefore to take them for granted would be a blunder.

Australia is still favorite in this World Cup but as you mentioned they are in very poor farm and thats why Zimbabwe restricted them on 262 on the 7 wickets. Right now Zimbabwe batting is also going good. But Still 80% chances are with Australia to win. I don't know why they are still favorite?
