An Apple a Day

My latest kick in eating an apple a day is slicing it all up and sprinkling cinnamon all over the slices. Yummy and addictive....nice treat to have while sitting at the computer....and it tastes away the craving for junkier snacks.

Hi there, I often come across sentences like an apple a day for a good health and for other purposes too. Why only an apple? Why not guava? You know a guava has almost all ingredient that is expected to be in in other fruits. Our people say five apples are equal to one guava. So have guava and stay healthy.

I wish I could eat a guava a day. Living in Northern Canada, they're not readily available.

Today, I actually sauteed some with sugar and cinnamon and wrapped it with some flour and fried it. I made it much more unhealthier than you by adding the sugar and fry, but it was gooood.

Yes eating an apple or any fruit for that matter and substituting it for junk food is a good healthy habit, just make sure that you wash them well cause I've read that thin skin of apples are more prone to absorbing pesticides and chemicals that lengthen shelf life, anyway I presume you buy them from a good source or perhaps own your own tree, why not also add bananas and mangoes to your snack and rotate it with those healthy apples (just a suggestion)if they are also readily available in your place or country, good luck pal and happy healthy eating

Hello. I like apple too. I eat the fruit and also often drink the juice. Doctors may not like that, because "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away". Ha ha ! Any way, apple is one of my favorite fruits.
