Suprise 40th

I am currently orfganising a Suprise birthday party for my Hubby-To-Be this year as he is turning his next milestone in life!
I did do a bit of reverse phsycology on him though.. Made out that I wouldn't be able to do a suprise party as people would slip up and I wouldn't be able to invite people without his help...
So I have set up another suprise meal and best friend coming over for the weekend.. His boss will be making him do a pick up from the train station. Not realising that he is getting our best friend! Then saturday we are going to be in town for most of the day shopping and such while family are getting the hall set up.. then will be going fro a meal around 7pm so they can get friends and family over to the hall and set set up... we will head over to the hall as a friend will pretend she is DJing there and wants us to keep her company... make our way over and big suprise!!
Have anyone done a suprise party for anyone..? This is my first! and hopefully not the last! hee hee
What did you do? how did it go? was it as good as you dreamt it would be?

I haven't done a surprise party, but have been a guest to one. As a friend was organizing hers for her hubby, she had difficulty setting it up, and I became a willing helper. Although I didn't do any planning, and only took directions, I certainly understood all the troubles it took.
I hope yours is a success!
