oh well, so one among my favorites, carson, has gone out of this season's AI. things have really been so unpredictable as the show furthers through its weekly screenings. hope james makes it up to the top 12, and so as jacob, and my new favorite, paul mcdonald (who sang a duet with the song, "blackbird"). it's a shame that the 16 year old afro has gotten out of the top 24. could've made it but his performances did not become as consistent as the other contestants. i really hate it when carson was kicked out this season. he could've made interesting performances if he just performed well with his duet with the other guy i don't know who. well, seems that there are a better number of more talented performers than the past seasons of idol. hope the grand finals doesn't become like the previous seasons, where crystal bowersox didn't win because the other contestant was a good looking guy (as most women i know watching american idol claim).. i'm really excited as to what other performances the contestants could bring given this year's competition is indeed a competition as compared to previous AIs, especially the season where adam lambert should've won, but the other guy was again, handsome and straight.

hi there, Paul is also my favorite this season. I also like Thia Megia and Clint Gamboa although, I was a bit shock that a lot of great contenders got kicked out of the competition. I love JC because his so cute and charming and has a unique voice but I was thinking if he is mature enough to be in AI though, I love his rendition of MJ's song "gone too soon". Love it! I am just so surprised that they picked Brett (afro guy) over the two others. hmmmm... I am unsure about that final decision.

i don't know who clint is, but paul and thia have quite amusing voices. paul, in particular, is one of a kind among all the contestants because he could really give you goosebumps with his tone, unlike other competitors who sing on the top of their lungs. JC indeed needs more experience to go on with the live shows. his talent is still raw, though, but may be a year or two, he could get through with some additional techniques in singing. i personally think brett deserves that spot because he got more spectacular performances than the other two. the one guy you should be watching for is that cello guy, casey. he was considered the most talented amongst other musicians this season, as said by randy.. james durbin (guy with tourette's) is also a guy to watch for, as well as jacob, who sang "god bless the child". i think he will get through to the semis, or even the finals, given he performs in a consistent level.

Was Carson the guy at the end, that Jennifer was crying about having to let go? He was a really good singer, my husband and I were shocked that they let him go. There is however, a lot of talent this year. I kept saying I don't know how the could possibly whittle it down to 24 with all those good people. I keep wondering where all this talent was in previous years. I am wondering if a lot more good people came out this year because they were afraid it would be the last year because Simon was gone, but with all this talent, I can't wait from show to show to hear them all sing.

yeah, almost everyone who made it this week sure has a good voice to showoff. carson is the blonde-haired guy who sang "my prerogative" in the previous episode. i think the guy you're referring to is chris medina, the one with the fiance on the wheelchair who randy met, j-lo shook hands or hugged, and steven tyler kissed on the cheeks. i also wonder how no one among those people have auditioned in the last season or other previous seasons of american idol. but there really are lots of young talents this year. wonder what will become of jc (15 or 16 year old chubby teen)..

yeah, very unpredictable. Wasn't that happy about the results of Top 24, although some are really good but there are also some that I think wasn't that good. Carson was also one of my fav, he has his own style of singing. Anyway, I still believe that this season, they'll gonna pick the righteous one to be an American Idol because all the judges are really musically inclined, not like the previous judges. So let's just wait and see...
