my husband is abroad and we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. and since he is very far away, we celebrated talking with each other on cam and we also ate dinner together both in front of the cams. we had nice conversations and discussed a few nostalgic moments. i had sent gifts in advance and it reached him in time. and he did too. when is your anniversary? how do you celebrate it? ann

My wedding anniversary is in May, this year will be our third. The first one he took me to a show but last year, I don't think we did anything. I don't know if we'll do anything this year, either.

No, actually. We live in a very tiny apartment, there's nothing to arrange. He doesn't have a favourite meal, much less can we afford that anyway. Nor is he working on our anniversary, so there's nothing he'd be coming home from, either. And ultimately, he really doesn't like when I do things like that in general.

We were married in August and we generally go out to dinner, but I think this year I will just try to fix something really nice at home. Eating out has just become to expensive for us.

hello pat, i think that will be wonderful. dinner at home will be so nice too. you will just have to add up some itchytiniewinnie things like candle dinner and music. but of course, what matters most is that you two are together and loving each other. have a nice day. ann

Wow, I envy you. My wife and I see each other everyday, and still there were two occasions that one of us had forgotten our anniversary. At least, it's 1-1 :) I hope the score ends there.

hi beamer, for a housewives/woman it is a very important thing that the husbands/men remember this important day in their lives. but of course, due to so many priorities they tend to forget this day - sometimes both forgets. well i guess, the best way to make up is celebrating it even if it is already belated. thank you for your contribution in this discussion. have a very nice day ann

This year my husband and myself will be celebrating our seventh anniversary. It is on the 31st of July and I start looking forward to it as soon as my birthday has passed. It isn't because we do anything special to celebrate our anniversary, but it feels like each year that passes is a hurdle that we have been able to overcome. We will probably go out to eat dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and perhaps have a babysitter for the children. Other than that, nothing really special for our anniversary.

dear dora, everyday is a test to every couple. the commitment to stay together harmoniously is the key to the success of a relationship. but also to spice up the relationship, you have to have a creative mind to make celebrations fun and unforgettable. have a very nice day. ann

That is great! Communication really is essential to any kind of relationship. it's good that you take time to do that. Nowadays, people find that cheesy. Not to me, of course. I'm not married. Just wanted to tell you how awesome that is.
