I didn't know which to put this under, me or daughter but decided to put it under me. I'm a part of this gaming web site where I can earn tokens just for playing certain games. I can use the tokens for the drawings that they have. There's four drawings, one is daily for $50. one is weekly for $250. two are monthly for $500. and $1,000. Plus there's the scratchers which is just like the lottery scratch offs but online. The most tickets we can buy for each drawing is 500 which costs 50,000 tokens. It takes a lot of playing to build up the tokens but I did it and kept up with all the drawings and played quite a bit of the scratchers and nothing happened. Now in the meantime, I'm saving as much as I can to help my parents with some banking issues that happened back when mom had the stroke. Dad had no idea how to run a checkbook or debit card. He knew how to use the debit card at a store but to register it was another story. He just didn't help mom with paying the bills or balancing the checkbook all through the years and when mom went down, it all fell on me to get the bills paid and so on. I did the best that I could. I had two households to hold down and all the errands to do and all the bills that needed paying. It was just too much for one person to handle but somehow I managed BUT, I didn't understand their banking statements so I couldn't balance their checkbook so I took it to the bank for help and didn't get the help that I needed so dad had gone into overdraft and neither of us knew it. DAMN IT! I tried! I went to the bank for help and didn't get the help that I needed! However, when I found out they were in overdraft and how much (almost $2,000.), a year had passed. I know damned well even though they have overdraft protection on their account, still, they're being charged extremely high interest on that balance that they owe but they can't pay it off because they just don't have it. The bank takes out a certain amount each month as payment towards the balance. So the bank is getting richer and richer by the day at my parents expense which really ticks me off big time. Now to the present moment, I've been saving and saving as much as I can to help them out to get that damned balance paid for and so far I have $400. of my own money saved to help them. All the while I've been hoping to win some money off of this gaming site to throw into the pile and I DID!! I won $25. off of a scratcher AND $50. on the daily drawing!! I won the $25. on Saturday and the $50. on Sunday! I was so shocked, and still am, over this and doing the happy dance all over the place! LOL It's not much money but deg gone it, EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!! EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!! Happy sigh...... Now I'm telling this NOT to get a pat on the back or to be praised. Not at all! I just wanted to spread some HAPPY news for a change because, truth be told, I've NEVER won anything before and to have won twice on the same gaming site is SO surreal to me!! LOL Oh my gosh! Pinch me! Is this for real? LOL YES YES YES!!!! Have you ever won anything? If you did, what did you win?

That's awesome! I love hearing good news, and when someone wins money, it's extra good! I've won a couple of things over the years, but none in a while. Although I guess survey sites count somewhat. Last year I did an Opinion Outpost survey and selected the instant win section. And I won 50 dollars. It went for heartworm medicine for my dog. lol

I know it helped a great deal spending that money for medicine that you needed for your dog and not having to pay for it yourself. Those things are expensive! I know because I have 5 dogs myself and 12 cats. But yeah, this is going to help me save even more to help my parents and they won't even know who did it either because I'm not going to tell them. They'll find out when they get their check statement the following month. lol

Really?! That's WONDERFUL AmbiePam! Seriously though, Sherlock would be so happy to know another dog is going to be loved just as he was. He knew you loved him just as he loved you and would want you to get another dog to love and to be loved. Of course you still cry for Sherlock! That's perfectly normal! I've lost several pets, cats and dogs and I've had a couple stolen from us and I still grieve over them. Two are buried in Texas, four are buried in Arkansas and we have three buried here in North Carolina. At times I want to go back to Texas to visit my two cats graves, Snowball and Kisses but I know they're not there, they're in Heaven waiting for me just as the rest of 'em are. They all take a special place in our hearts and they'll never ever let go but we always have room for more or others. Always. I'm SO happy for you! Go for it! I think it'll do you a WORLD of good!

I don't consider $40. a whole lot though for the amount of enjoyment that I get out of it and then to win a little bit makes it all the more fun. And in order to be a part of the $1,000. drawing each month or to play certain games, we have to be a paid member.

to be in the club you have to pay 40 bucks a yr. but i think you can enter sweepstakes even if you play free. you do make tokens also playing free.

I've been on cloud 9 ever since!! It does look like my luck has turned around for the better. Whew! I really hope so because being raked over the coals is no fun at all. Hugs to you sweetie!

Oh, geez, Cats, I hope this discussion doesn't disappear! I wrote one about winning a contest and it was deleted. I can't remember what the reason was, at the moment. Hopefully, by the time I finish responding, I'll remember. LOL Anyway, I HAD to respond, whether this disappears or not. CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is totally awesome news!!!! To win twice in two days is really something to brag about! My miserable little income is getting smaller, thanks to the government, so I'm very happy to hear your good news. I hope you can keep on winning! I've won a few things I've already mentioned here somewhere, like a cruise to the Virgin Islands, front row seats and backstage passes to a "Meet and Greet" with the Rolling Stones, $104.00 from a radio station (104.3), dozens of tickets to rock contests, oh, and bingo when I was 5 years old. LOL Oh, right, the thing that got my discussion removed, I won a contest online and got $150.00 worth of makeup from some very expensive company. Winning really is no big deal for me anymore because I've won so many things but I can sure remember when I won my first thing (at least the first thing after Bingo, which I can barely remember). For your prizes to be money to help your parents is incredibly awesome!!! Again, I'm sooooooooooooo happy for you!!!

Oh, right, they called my discussion a "milestone" which is why it was deleted. I disagree with this being a milestone because it's not something we achieve like a birthday, anniversary or anything else in the normal course of our lives. It should NOT be called a milestone. You've won something and you want to share your good news. I see NOTHING wrong with that! Hope you're still smiling and keep smiling til your cheeks hurt!

A milestone?? This isn't a deg gone milestone! A milestone is like a promotion or reaching a goal, not winning something! What are they thinking? I hope it doesn't get deleted too because of you all responding to it - losing a point due to MY discussion. That's embarrassing but hey, I didn't know. So you're one of those 'lucky' folks, eh? I know of a few people who are like that and I just envy them! I shouldn't but I do! My sister in law is like that. She goes to bingo every week and wins almost every time and a lot of the time it's one of the big prizes but yet, she says she's broke constantly. Yeah right. What ever she wants us to believe. You BET I'm smiling my cheeks off!

Good on you cats! Have you come down to earth yet LOL? You said it isn’t much money but it is to me! Seventy five bucks in two days is pretty darn good and will bring the balance of your savings up. You are so kind saving to help your parents…I think that more good things like the wins you just had will happen to you because you’re such a good woman cats. I can’t remember the last time I won anything…Oh, wait…I won a frozen chicken at work around twenty years ago!

Hey Paula! Sorry to be so late in responding! I didn't get any notifications of your response! grrrr! It did feel so good to win that money and add it to my savings which is nearly $600. now! I'm almost half way there and will get it all in due time. I can't wait to carry it to the bank and pay off that deg gone debt of theirs! It'll help them a great deal, I'm sure. Ummmm, thanks for the sweet words sweetie! Just doing what any caring child would do for their folks!

Congratulations! I wish I know how to win just like you, as any additional money is worth it. But, I don;t have any internet connection at home, and definitely I cannot play games in the office.

Thank you! I do know what you mean, every little bit extra is well worth it. That's why I'm doing what I'm doing because I'm helping my parents all that I can and some without their knowledge. Maybe one day you'll get lucky and get a computer at home and you'll be on there playing some games and win too!

Oh, I have a computer at home. It is just the internet connection that I don't have. In Indonesia internet connection can be expensive and unreliable. So, I opt to wait till it becomes more reliable before I install one at home. At the moment, I am only online when I am at work, thus using the office connection.

YIPEE!! HOT DAMM!! WOOHOO!! WTG!! YAHOO!! That is so cooooool. Was the site Pogo? I know you win tokens there and enter them in drawings for cash prizes. I have entered tokens and tried to win, so far no luck. I have won a few dollars here and there on scratch off lottery tickets, its been a long time for that. About a year ago I won $627 on a nickle machine at the casino. That was super duper. I put that money in my purse and brought it home and put it in the bank. I was hopping up and down in my chair. I kept pointing and telling my mom to look. I didn't tell everyone neither, specially the kids, no way. Hopefully you can win some more money. Good luck...

You GOT it Polly!! I'm like a happy pig in a muddy pig pen!! I won on shockwave. It's a really cool gaming site and I love it and love it even MORE now! I'm continually getting the full amount of tickets that I'm allowed to all of the drawings in hopes to win the bigger amounts but what ever I do win, I'm VERY happy and VERY grateful! My parents will be too once I get all that I need up! That's going to be the REAL fun!! lol

That is great news, that you won. I have won a gift card from a site that I do. I had to post a comment, and they drew names of the people that did. It was $50 to Lowes, right before Christmas. It was greatly appreciated.

Sadly, the only thing I can think of that I won was a social studies fair, and that hardly counts as any kind of monetary win. Although, I think it's kind of a win situation for you, because you needed that money. I am so happy that you won it! I'm sure more wins will come in the future for you because I think you deserve them most of all with what you do for them.

Hi there BeccaM! Good to see you! Sadly nothing sweetie! It doesn't have to be a monetary win to mean something to you. I'm just happy to have won this because mom and dad need the help. To be able to help them a little more makes it all the more worth while. Please don't say anything to them because I don't want them to know because they'll have a fit. They don't want to be a burden on anybody but I don't feel like they are a burden on me at all and I want to do it for them. If I didn't want to then I wouldn't but they don't see it that way. Silly notions that they have, you know? Hugs to you sweetie!

Very well deserved winning, CONGRATULATIONS!!.. I just hope I have same luck as yours... Even in a cake raffle, I would bet my name will be picked... How I wish I can tell something that will share same insights as yours BUT nevertheless, I'm happy for you... Hope it will really help your mom. Good Luck to you and your family.

The one thing off the top of my head that I remember winning was a dvd from Arnold Schwarzenegger called Pumping Iron. I knew it was a cheap item but I was so ecstatic that I actually won something that I was in a great mood for the rest of the night. Sometimes it's not the amount that you win, but the fact that you are a winner of anything that makes it so rewarding. I don't know how I would feel if I won something like the lotto, but I'm sure it will be something extraordinary. I don't know if I would post it on myLot though.

So you know how I'm feeling since I've never won anything before! You are right, being a winner is what's so rewarding. Now if I won the lotto, no, I wouldn't post it on any web site. People we don't know would be coming out of the wood work as if they were our friends. No, that would be something that would have to be kept private.

That is awesome! Congrats!! I've won money on scratch off lottery tickets a few times in my life. I remember winning $50 a few times on those. Beyond that I can't think of any big prize items or cash that I've won. I better start entering myself in more contests n such to have a chance to win! lol

I don't play the lottery that much, my husband does most of that however, lately I've been playing the higher ones in hopes to win something big so I could help my parents all the more but so far nothing has come about in that way but through this site, it sure did! It's not much but I'm excited just the same. lol I'm going to keep on trying and hope to win the bigger drawings but it takes a lot of playing to get the tokens needed.
