Couldn't sleep so I turned on the tv. There was a Julia Roberts movie I hadn't seen or aleast not for a long time, America's Sweetheart. But, OMG! it has her(a beauty in her own right) playing sisters with Catherine Zeta-Jones(another all time beauty) and who should be the male romantic lead but John Cusack of whom I think is one of the LEAST sexy, attractive or interesting in any way bysides being his sisters brother. So anyway, have you noticed this before? You watch a romantic movie because a actress or actor is in it but their opposite is a lack luster actor at best and the movie is a disappointment because of it. Julia Roberts is a very good actress to even act attracted and/or inlove with this guy. And, as I said, his only redeaming quality is his sister, Joan.( I think she is great!) Your thoughts.

love julia roberts and sorry to tell you i really think cusak is very good and quite sexy myself. 
i thought Richard Geer has been miss matched in a couple movies with Diane lane..to me. richard is really hot!
but Diane has always seemed rather plain to me. in unfaithful, it just didnt make the movie, you know? cant remember the other one they played together in.

I don't agree at all. I don't find either of them attractive and about as far away from sexy as night and day.

I like Julia Robert, and in a way I like John Cusack, too. He is attractive enough for me in his shy, calm and naive way. But I've been attracted to different types of male, too.
It is the story that was so disappointing for me, too light, not leaving any imagination for the audience after it ended. I like a story that got us thinking what really happen in the story and what would happen if the story continues.

I agree. John Cusack just doesn't hit me as leading man potential. He is okay and I like him in other things just not as a leading man.

My thoughts...are you CRAZY...lol? I LOVE John Cusack! I think he's not only VERY handsome and sexy but also down-to-earth and very intelligent. Heck, I follow him on Twitter! I like Joan a lot too but it's more like she's John's sister than John's her brother, if you know what I mean. Oh, well, it's all in the eye of the beholder, I guess! I really enjoyed "America's Sweethearts" also and thought the casting was excellent.

Do you really? Ugh! I like him okay but not as a romantic lead. I am glad that you enjoyed the film. It did have afew cute moments but definitely not a favorite. Thanks.

Like I said, it's all in the eye of the beholder...lol! There are some actors and other performers some women think are super "hot" and I just don't see it. That's a good thing because if we all had identical tastes it would be pretty boring, wouldn't it?

Hi. celticeagle. I have never seen this movie before, that I can think of. I am sure that it was a great movie!
I have enjoyed watching Julia in many movies. I especially enjoyed, "Sleeping with the Enemy". I liked how she escaped by water and left her abusive husband. I am glad that she met up with this guy that lived near her. She did not back down when she had to fight her husband at the end of the movie. This guy was so not her type! I don't know his name but, he does not look like the type that would fit Julia's personality, on a movie.

there are very few movies that I watch because of the actor or actress I am more into storyline. Julie Roberts is not one of my favorite actresses, I do like John Cusack but not enough to run to see his movies.
Now if it was sir anthony hopkins, kevin costner, or Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, I know it is going to be a great movie and strong performance

There are girl flicks and guy flicks. Gorgeous girl falls in love with plain guy, clearly meant to feed a guy's ego. Handsome man falls for plain girl, plays to girl's ego. Even across the board, both guys and girls would enjoy it. That's the way I see it. Take care

Never imagine watching John Cusack with his boyish look to be in starring in a romance movie, I simply cannot picture it and doubt if the movie would be a success - apologies to any of his fans here.
I'd prefer Johnny Depp, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Douglas or Richard Gere over J.C., they would be more suitable as casts to the movie.
