Dhoni should really stop backing up players like Chawla. He has never been impressive and have really given away too many runs in the limited over cricket. Now in today's match he bowled too many wide balls and also bowled no balls to give away free hits to the opponent. Even against the Irish, who are not known as good players of spin bowling, he have never looked promising.

I must say that I myself was surprised why Dhoni did not pick Ashwin over Chawla for this match. I do not rate Chawla as a good one day bowler as he does not have enough variations or control over his line and length for the ODI game. Ashwin is also a much better bowler in the power plays. So I must say I am surprised at Dhoni's insistence on playing Chawla ahead of Ashwin. Cheers! Ram

I agree with you saumya. Chawla has to be shunted out for the rest of the world cup. I had backed his selection to the world cup considering that a leg spin baller is handy in such a long tournament and considering that some teams are vulnerable to leg spin balling. Chawla was expected to perform at least against Ireland but he was dispatches to all corners of the ground. I don't think team management will dare to include him for any crucial match hence forth.
