This game is always a tightly contended matter, of course in the previous years Fernando Torres somehow got the better of Vidic generally and this year Liverpool are without him. Liverpool are out of sorts but I expect Dalglish's team to put in a gritty performance, even if their squad is not what it once was it still has several talented players, in particular Reina, Gerrard, Suarez and Joe Cole. I'm a Man United fan and naturally want them to win, who ever plays in attack out of Chicharito, Rooney and Berbatov are strong enough to tear Liverpool's defence apart, the problem is whether they get the service or not - Man united lack an attacking presence when Giggs is not playing, so it's a must that he's in the team. The Fletcher/Carrick combo is looking poor for me, Gibson has not made much of an impression when filling in and Scholes's performances are not as consistant as they once were. With Vidic suspended, will it be an Evans/Smalling defensive pairing or will O'Shea move in to the centre and Rafal play Right-back, I would go for the second option, Man U need some experience in defence without Ferdinand and Vidic. I think the game very much relies on whether Liverpool play to their potential and who is in Man U's midfield, I'm going for 2-2. What about you?

I think it will end in a 1-0 win for Liverpool, with Suarez scoring the decisive goal. I don't really follow the EPL, but this is a feeling that I have. Surely not a game to bet on.

It turned out to be a fantastic match between the two sides. After a long time Liverpool played like a top European club and really hammered the Red Devils. Man U were clearly rattled and once Kuyt scored the two goals within 5 minutes, they never looked like coming back. They had a brief rally at the start of the second half, but were well and truly beaten 3-1 on the night. Cheers! Ram
