Would you prefer paper statement of e - statement?

I knew a lot of companies, such as utilities, banks, credit cards etc....... they would encourage you to go for e - statement rather than have them send you a paper statement from month to month. But with a lot of hidden charge fees, and other factors, I still prefer the paper statement, which I can turn it from page to page to digest the fee I paid for is legit or not. Some utility companies really do a dirty trick without telling you, and they charge you hidden fees on it. I think I would stick with paper statement for easy reading. What about you?

I prefer e-statement and all my statements are e-statements. I am happy that helping a bit to save environment and suggest that all should do that so that we can contribute towards green environment. Thank you for sharing.

It is certainly our right to know where every penny we earn goes. It is very unfair for these companies to do tricks such as that. I cannot blame why people choose to receive the paper statements but I prefer the electronic way. With the e-bills, it is convenient, time-saving plus I would have the advantage to check it whenever I can, wherever I am. On top of that, I can share my little help in saving our only planet. It basically saves paper which means e-bills saves trees. I just wish that companies would provide e-statements exactly as what it appears on the paper.

I receive e-statements for all my billing with the exception of the local utilites company, because they don't offer. I also pay all my bills online, the only one that there is any extra charge for doing so is the local utility company. I have found no hidden fees, on my bills. And just like a paper bill, I can look at the detailed summary for that cycle. I can also pull up comparison charts to get some idea of what I paid last year, during a particular season, which helps me when I do my monthly budgets.

Hi kingparker! Same here, I prefer paper statement rather than e statement especially with credit cards. For filing reasons and as you said it is more clearer in paper. And at any point, you have something to show without the need of logging in or printing the statement... The billing mail also acts as a reminder to me... What if i failed to open my mail, like I got so busy or something? I would somehow miss or fail to pay the bill on time. Actually one of my credit cards is in e statement and I am not using it that much...

I feel like in most situations you get the same information online and on paper. Because of this I would rather save the resources and do the online billing, however, I get that some people are just so accustomed to the paper bills that they are more comfortable having something physical to deal with.

I have changed to e-statements some time ago. I switched to e-statements because I am now doing all my banking work online, and that's very fast and very convenient, without the need to go to the bank often. I can also print out the statements when I need to.

Most of my bills are still paper. I did request e-statement on one of my credit cards. The downside is that I keep forgetting it. Made a folder in my email for it and well, usually forgets about it. I get the same statement as paper statement in e-statement, so I don't really find any difference there except I save a few papers.

All the estatments that I have are the same bill just in a PDF format. I still get my mortgage statement in paper copy because that is the biggest place i feel that we could make a mistake financially, but I can also view it online and it is the same exact thing.
