New guidelines for UDRS 2.5 m rule

So finally ICC made slight change in the rule for 2.5m in the UDRS. Now they will take the consideration weather the ball was pitched near enough(less than 40 cm from the pads) and ball should be hitting a part of middle stump to judge batsman out. I am satisfied with the change.

This rule is completely shambolic. Whatever ICC does if it does not improve the quality of umpiring all these would mean nothing. The other day Steve Tikolo was given out with such a huge inside edge and the third umpire was clearly blind not to see that. I think I agree with Dhoni that it is just adulteration and the need of the hour is to ensure that the quality of umpires needs to improve. Cheers! Ram

Is this true ? then that's very bad. I this should have happen in the kenya vs canada game. If they are making such a horrible mistakes with use of technology what is the purpose of using it ?

Exactly my point. What is worse is that replay was shown in the stadium and 40000 people could see what the third umpire could not see!! Really poor poor umpiring. Cheers! Ram

Yah! It seems to be good.But have to see that how they use it?Such type of technology and law making cricket more interesting and enjoying.
