My granddaughter brought home a wire mandala from school the other day.It is cute and interesting. That is going to be my next project.I told her we would make some of them.We looked on line and they sell for up to 20.00 or more.IT's nothing but 20 and 24 gauge wire and beads.I saw them called magic loops,flexi-sphere,and wire mandala toy.She has a small one and wants one big enough to wear as a bracelet. They are kinda habit forming.Making all the different shapes.

sounds like fun project. Enjoy as much as you can, kids grow fast and before you know she'll be gone to university and then you will be left with all the sweet memories. Have fun.

Yes they grow up so fast. She's 9 and the other one is 6.THey both love doing crafts.Never could get their mama interested in crafts. They both are. They are both learning to crochet. The 9 yr old loves origami. They both love to draw. The time goes by so fast.I quit work in 2001 when the oldest was born to stay at home and keep them.It seems like yesterday.I dread the day they dont come over every day like they do now.But it's a part of life that I'll have to deal with.

Enjoy your meals with your kids. And hope it will be a long time before your daughter leaves the house. Someday the kids will be going through what we have to go through letting them go.

Yes bretay61 it's difficult to deal when we have to let go off of good old days and kids grow so fast and they also can't wait to fly so there's nothing much we could do but to pray that they fly safe. My two children have grown to be adults and my son has already moved out. He moved out when he was 19 and now he's 22. It's good that he still comes once a week for dinner with us. My daughter is 18 and is still living with us so that's a good thing but I can't stop but wonder how lonely it will be when she will be gone and then we probably will have dinner once a week with her as well.

My granddaughter brought one home from school. They are habit forming. But they are made from wire and beads. You basically have 2 complete circles and 7-9 mini half circles and they are hooked on the main circles in a certain way. They have to be hooked on the circle in a certain way for them to work right.Thy have to be hooked back to front to work properly.I saw a video on making them on youtube.this lady gave the sizes for the one she was making. The one I watched was by Camille Sharman under how to make wire mandalas. It is really cool.I'm going to make my granddaughters one with the beads in their birthstone colors. If you like wire crafts, you would like this. They are really awesome as my granddaughter says.

I have not heard of this before, but I will look them up. It sounds fun and interesting. I like the idea of hand crafted items, and I have quite a few beads of various kinds on hand.

I used to have alot of beads and wire, but my granddaughter was making some jewelry. So I let her use most of them. And of course,I ahven't replaced them yet.Was busy with other projects at the time.So now I have to go replace some of them.I did find some one wire spool.I have to get the other and get some beads.I want to get some colored wire to wrap the wires with.only a small amount needed. If you go to you tube and type in wite mandalas, you can see the lady make them. She even gives out the sizes to cut the wires and how many needed.I figured I would make both my granddaughters one and use their birthstones beads on them. And then another with their favorite colors on them. The oldest ones would be black and blue. The youngest would pink and purple.
