I personally like office 2003 is the best till the time.. because there are lots of complexity with office 2007 and 2010.. specially Menu is not so good in new office.. though Microsoft tried to make it easy but it became more complex for non-IT people..

Hi lovedude. I have also observed that even other IT people are also having difficulty with the newer versions. I will still go for Office 2003 as I can work faster using it.

I think that 2003 was the best, but i always like to work with the newest version i believe that in this way or another you will have to manage the newest version cause the old version will not stay for ever, so i believe you should get use to the newest version as soon as possible :)

I find newer versions of MS Office to be confusing especially the menu. Just like what the above post said that they have made it more complex than easier to use. I still find Office 2003 as more user-friendly than the newer versions. Although newer versions have added features and functionality I still find it more complex and often has to find my way of doing something.
