At last Bangladesh fans got something to cheer about. Their team won a match today against formidable England which they had almost lost after being comfortable for most of the time. After being 3 for 155 in 31st over needing just 71 runs in 20 overs with seven wickets in hand, they squandered the chance to almost give the match in hand to england by reducing themselves to 8 for 169 needing another 57 runs with just two tail enders in hand. But mahmudullah and shafiul Islam displayed tremendous courage in scoring those runs and winning all important game for them. Congratulations Bangladesh. Group 'B' is turning out quiet interesting now.

Hi msdivkar, In the morning today I had said that this would be England's day but something else happened. Congratulation to Bangladesh. The prime reason that England lost today was their bowling department. They lacked start bowlers and still they were very near to winning the game but the the wickets after the fall of the eighth they could not make any put any impact on the Bangladeshi players. We have to appreciate the courage of the last pair that took the team to victory.

Hi krajibg, I don't agree with you that ballers lost the match for England, it is other way round. Their ballers almost won the match for them. It is their batsman who fared poorly anf lost the match. How can they hope to win a match scoring just 225 runs?

there is logic in your view but if we consider the overall performance of Bangladesh in the ODI they could have saved. Why, did not you mark that up to the fall of the 8th wicket they had sharpness but the due factor and part time bowlers let them down.

first i would like to say "Congrats to Bangladesh" they not only performed with bat but very well bowled too,on the other way Ashes winner has not been effective in any match of worldcup.still bangladesh has to play two matches and this group positions becoming interesting match by match, any way after this match tournament turning into more interesting mode.

You are right pujara. This group has become quiet interesting now. Bangladesh has got a chance to sneak into quarter final. They should win both their remaining matches which appears quiet difficult because one of the team they have to face is South Africa.

Its a great thing u are saying we dont know who will win or who will loose in this cricket lets see about the england verses ireland in that one o'brein leads to the century it could be the fastest one and hits the england and had a great win towards the england could u ever the netherlands give the big stroke to the england and netherlands made their highest score debut in one day internationals or world cup internationals how interesting these things no body knows nothing in this games of cricket see the kenya can go to the semifinal easily. See the southafrica lost to go to the semifinals they go back to the south afirca we dont know who win the match its a time to decide that type of luck the team can gathers. In this world cup every match is fully tensioned i think this world cup creates the biggest history with old world cups. See u saw the cricket today India vs southafrica see sachin gambhir and shewag made at that time india score will be at 267/1 and after india score will be 296 allout see the differentation our Indian team losts total 9 wickets in just 29 runs see how is our batting if the batting becomes slowly our team reaches 350 or else.

plz dont say atleast friend. They have real talent to win over with any team. Yes may be they are not fully perfect yet but you can't use atleast. They have two more matches and surely they will win with netherlands and will make a good contest with SA either they win or lose.

absolutely a great win for them didnt not expect them to win it after they were in such a situation. and this win is a answer to those critics who said that they dont deserve the test status, even i had a reservation about they been given the test status but they do have the talent and it also a wake up call to the rest of the team in world cup pool that they are in they cant be taken lightly england got the taste of there on medicine. well played Bangladesh.

Fantastic win for Bangladesh. More than anything it was a great comeback from the lows of the loss to West Indies. What I liked most was the fighting spirit shown by the lower order batsmen to take Bangladesh across the line. Suddenly South Africa and England are under threat of not making it to the quarters, especially England as they need to win their match against West Indies to be assured of a spot in the quarters. Cheers! Ram

You are absolutely right..Fight for the fourth place is still on..Now England has 5 points And Bangladesh has 4,Bangladesh will play Netherlands and if they beat them then they will have 6 points..While England will play west indies so for bangladesh its imp that eng loses..Next Bangladesh will play South Africa and beating south Africa is not a easy thing to do..So Bangladesh's fate will be decided on 17th of March after England vs West Indies..
