Soon it will be Easter and we will be boiling, decorating, hiding and eating eggs. Do you fix deviled eggs? Do you have a special recipe? Are you looking forward to hiding and eating and decorating them? How do you usually decorate them? We used to hide them at my grandmothers. She had this big stretch of lawn she called the 'whiskey lawn' because of the type of grass. What's the plan?

I think its so great for them to have you find them. I never thought of that when I was little. These kids are great these days!

My daughter celebrates Easter... it isn't exactly a tradition to dye and decorate eggs for the holiday in our house, but filling the little plastic eggs with treats and treasures to hide and hunt them.. well that one is. Sometimes we do the hide n hunt at my mother's house, because I live in an apartment complex. Hiding them outside is a risk and hiding them inside this tiny place is rather... well , boring. If we dye eggs, they usually get made into devilled eggs and egg salad. Sometimes they just get devoured as a hardboiled breakfast or snack.

I don't have any Easter Plans yet, other then going to church. I do like deviled eggs, don't have a special recipe. I like to smash the yolk, add mayonaise, dab of mustard, salt and pepper and a pinch of sugar. Thats my filling. I have also chopped up very finely some celery, thats tasty too in the yolk filing.

I usually visit my brother at Easter. I help have an Easter Egg hunt at his church. I love that eggs come on sale and that we can thoroughly indulge. The truth is, however, that I buy lots of eggs year around.

We have colored and hidden eggs most every year. The girls are getting to the ages where they aren't so in to it anymore. I think I need to fins something else that we can do. I used to love Easter Egg hunting when I was little. I used to have cousins and half siblings come over and we would all egg hunt all day. My grandmother used to make a huge dinner too.

Same here. Those days are gone. I used have lots of family and we all would get together at grams and gramps. Great dinners too. Glorified rice and all the goodies.

My favorite thing to so is make a boiled meal of cabbage, onions, etc. just before Easter. In is, put eggs to boil. If you use red cabbage and yellow onions, usually you end up with teal eggs, yellow eggs, and so on depending on where you put the eggs near.

Oh yeah, someone gave us a bunch of canned beats before, too. They make hyperactive pick eggs with you boil the juice with the eggs. I haven't tried grape juice or anything else, but that would be fun, too. I like to use stuff that's boiled anyway.
