Uninvited Guests at my daughter's birthday party

i gave my daughter a birthday party yesterday using Stuff A Friend (like Build A Bear except the animals came to my house). I was told one of the little girls could come and which animal she wanted. Then after the order was placed and I had the animals in my home I was told that if she comes she has to bring her 2 brothers with her who are 8 and 9. I sent the mother a letter saying that this was a girls only birthday party that the boys couldn't come. Well I was in the house getting the hotdogs ready yesterday when here came the little girl and her 2 brothers. The parents had dropped them off and went to Walmart. These boys bugged the crap out of those little girls. Chasing them around trying to throw water on them just being annoying. I didn't have animals for them to stuff which made me feel bad. My mom had some toys that she had bought my boys that she gave them so that they would have something. I was supposed to have 11 kids at this party. How would ya'll have handled this if you were in my place?

With children as uninvited guest of the age of 8 and 9 there is not much else to do but what you did. You really don't want to hurt the boys feeling since it was not their fault. Some parents just assume that they can do anything with their children. If you say any thing to the parents they will probably not let the little girl play with yours. so she gets punished. So guess I would do just what you did. but confine them to the tv room.

well, I guess there wasnt much you could do at the time, because as you said they just dropped them off, but I'd have a talk with the parents . Afterwards, because it really is your daughters birthday and your choice whether it is co-ed or not. I think you did the right thing. The parents put you in a weird place. Hopefully it wont happen again.
