Feel weird when men are ringing up your lingerie/under garments?

I went to Khol's the other day because I had a free $10 coupon that was e-mailed to me. I bought a shirt originally and it wasn't enough so I browsed through the under garments section and bought a thong. I went to go pay but it was a guy cashier and I feel weird if they handle my stuff... so I went in a cashier for a lady. I mean, it depends on the person but I feel awkward? However, I went to a cashier for a lady and turns out it was a former classmate which was also strange... -___- Do you feel weird if men are ringing up your lingerie and or under garments? Why or why not? Have you experienced any weird situations before?

I guess after a while you sort of get use to it, I remember being shy as a young teen but not any longer, it is almost as if the cashiers, if professional, really they do not have an expression and or comment. So no, not any longer but I must admit most of my lingerie are purchased in women boutiques so I suppose that helps too because most of the cashiers are female. But if there was a male no, I would not be timid.

I'm 20, going on 21, lol so maybe I'm still in the stage where it's still awkward :) But yeaah, eventually I'll get over it.

Hi yeah some times i do feel embarrassed by it ,i would prefer to go to a lady cashier in such case , if i have an option. But if in case the counters are busy or there is no lady cashier available,i wouldn't mind much about it cause after all a purchase is a purchase no matter what it is....... we need it right?

I am like that, I prefer not to go to a male cashier, infact for very personal items I will not go to a male cashier, I put the things back and wait for another time.

it doesn't make me feel odd. it's only underwear, so it's not embarassing. if it was incontinence pants I might feel differently.

I don't feel weird about stuff like that. They ring things up all day and so I am sure they are used to it and don't even care / notice really what it is. I feel that if a guy is going to say something there going to say it so it doesn't matter. You could have had some guy eyeing you while looking at the underwear as well. Anyway, that's just my opinion. Im sorry if it came off a little rude as I feel it did but I didn't intend for it to.

It actually does weird me out a bit. I know it shouldn't, but I'm a shy person so it freaks me out a little. If I have a choice on which cashier I go to (if there isn't a line, for instance), then I'll go to a female cashier. I just feel more comfortable that way.

Under garments and lingerie are just articles of clothing to me. it doesn;t bother me what the gender of salesperson is that rings up these purchaes for me. this is just clothing that many people buy. we shouldn't be embarrassed by who waits on us for it.
