What's the difference?

I usually hate classes as such. Today in my English class we were making a ruckus as usual as the teacher didn't come just yet and we wanted to have fun. Then suddenly a new teacher came and all the guys eyes were on her as she was so beautiful. She had us all mesmerized for quite sometime. We were all under her charm and time seemed to fly by so fast with her. She was also very young for us all. Then i had a doubt which had been bothering me. I wanted to see how she could solve my problem. I asked her" Madam what's the difference between price and worth? They mean the same right then why do we use price sometimes and worth the other time?" She smiled her magical smile and answered my question saying this: Price and worth have the same meaning but when you add less then see what they mean. Priceless and Worthless. Do you see the difference now? I really liked the teacher for she had both beauty and brains! What about you? Ever experience something like this? Cheers!

This is an interesting way to look at things for sure. I am sure you were all glad to have someone explain it this way for sure. I know when it comes to price and worth it can mean many different things to many people depending on what the item is, and who the person is as well. I know for me though when looking at something considered priceless or worthless it can be the same thing but for me if you consider something priceless, like with your life for example, overall there is nothing out there that can change your mind and you are willing to do anything to keep it that way as well, where if it is worthless you seem to want to just throw it away.

Lol the only similiar experience I can recall was when I was about 10 years old. I had a young teacher that I thought was hot. But it was sunday school. -.- hey, make sure to pay attention to what she is teaching, instead of just her beauty lol. Goodluck.

What amazes me is that you admit that you were causing a ruckus because there was no teacher in the room yet. How absurd. If we had done that when I was in school, we would have all received detention.

Well actually here students kinda run the school.. We are the worst and the best section also in the entire campus. though there have been many complaints on us they can't take any action because our section has had 5 students of CGPA 10.0/10.0 this semester and more than 20 members in our class including me got CGPA above 9.5 out of 67 students and only a couple failed. So i would say that our's is the best section in this year!

I had a huge crush on my Math teacher. Once, I raised my hand in class without really thinking. I didn't know that it was a difficult Math problem I was gonna solve in front of the class and to top it off I was even gonna discuss how I came up with my answer. I was there struggling and glad I overcame my humiliation at what I was doing trying to impress him and so was able to solve the problem and discuss the solution. After that, I vowed not to put myself out like that. I am glad that he got married within my senior year and that ended the whole infatuation thing.

It was fine by me as he was older by a couple of years and he got married to someone he really loved. Life is fair no matter what. Don't give up on it. :)

I had a substitute teacher like that in my french class not too long ago. She was very gorgeous, and even the girls in the class thought so! At first I thought she was a new student, just a little older looking and taller, until I started talking to her and she turned out to be the sub! I asked so many questions that day I don't even remember half the answers. But she was only 25 and spoke pretty good french. Later when my normal teacher came back, I told her she looked a little stressed out and should take a day off so I can play my next moves on the hot substitute she left us. She said she would be sure to have her sub the next time she was out... score :)

Wow lucky you. Unfortunately we can't try to score her else our other subjects score would reduce by a large amount!

Yea, In my Conceptual Physics class, All the guys would talk about how they would want to do things with the teacher. She wasn't that smart, well, she had to be if sh was teachings physics, but her attitude mostly resembled that of a 13 year old girl. She had no trouble telling the class to shut the f??k up. One time another student that she was always flirting with gave her a Starbucks coffee. on the cup was his number, she just laughed and looked at him oddly. and continued on with her business. till this day I wonder if they were fooling around. But at the end of the day, i kind of wish it were me who had enough balls to give my cell number to a teacher haha

What a thoughtful point to bring up! I've never heard of that but she really described it perfectly. It's been so many years since I had a teacher but I know that looks are often deceiving. That teacher that you had will probably go far and help many people. She seems to have a gift for explaining things plainly yet completely.

At your age, you would be impressed by the clever answer, there is no doubt about it. But then pause and think, She has actually skipped the question. Here's the answer: Price is the value of a commodity you want to buy in terms of money. As in, "The price of a pen is Rs. 100/-" Worth is the utility at a price. As in "E-reservation is worth much more that the price we pay for the service"

A good teacher really depends on their appearance as well. It does not matter how well educated a teacher is, what matters is that they are able to converse well with students. Good looks or being pretty is an added advantage for teachers because students are always looking forward to their lessons. WHile i'm in high school, there was this suave male teacher, but too bad he's only there to relief for a few days. We all like his way of teaching, while we had no further luck with him before our form teacher comes back.
