I will give credit to Tendulkar who provided base foundation to this grand victory chase. Although Yuvraj and Suresh Raina finished very professionally but the basic were already there.

Yes, the fluency of Sachin mitigated the Australian threat to a great extent. But when he left India were not even at the half way stage so the real credit goes to Yuvi but the gem was from Raina who hit some lusty blows to turn the tide.

Dhoony's decision regarding Raina paid out and now I hope people who were criticizing him will go silent.

Hi Dear Rajeev! It is evident from the fact Yuvraj Singh has been given the Man of The Match title which highlights his role in winning of the Team India. But then in my opinion it was only the yesterday's match where we can't say that this match was won because of any particular individual! In the match right from the bowling, batting to Fielding every thing was more or less perfect. It was team effort which made yesterday's match in favour of the Indian team. In the first innings though Harbhajan couldn't take any wicket he restricted the runs of =Australians while other bowlers managed to take wickets at regular intervals. the fielding was simply superb and because of such fielding which one seldom gets to see from Indian side we could save about 15 to 16 runs. The batting line was also very stable and determined.Though Sehwag lost his wicket at 15 runs, Sachin held the fort comfortably before giving his simple catch by adding another half century to his tally. there after Gambhir played an fantastic innings before getting run out in a silly manner. Dhoni couldn't do really well, but this can be understood because of the intense pressure he had yesterday as Captain he did not perform well, but then as a Captain he played a fantastic role! At the end While Yuvraj played a sensible inning by keeping his head cool, he was ably supported by Raina who justified hid selection in place of Pathan! Thus in my opinion it was the team effort which fetched us the victory in the quarter finals by defeating the great team of Australia. If we manage to play by maintaining this temperament, enthusiasm . zeal and sensibility in future matches,it won't be a big thing for India to get the World Cup 2011! After all the World fears the team unity which can definitely be expressed by each player's contribution either in the form of batting ,bowling or fielding - as "Unity is the Strength!" Thanks for the discussion!

I think it was a complete team effort. First of all Dhoni needs credit for picking up Raina in place of Pathan. Then persisting with Ashwin to open the bowling against the Aussies. Then our bowlers especially Ashwin and Zaheer bowled brilliantly. Our fielding was also at his most committed for the tournament till date. Then while batting first the little master Sachin, then Gambhir and finally Yuvi and Raina finished the job for India. So it was a complete team effort by Team India. Cheers! Ram

India got this victory because of the good solid contribution from every player in the team. Dhoni's boys played as a unit. everyone was aware of their responsibility. and tried hard to perform and got the sweet victory. Yuvi is now having a good time hope that it will continue.

Cricket is a team game and win or loss has to be credited to all members of the team. Yesterday the chief architect of India's victory was Yuvraj Singh who was rightly crowned as man of the match but the contribution from other members can not be neglected. India could not have reached the winning position without good start from Sehwag and Tendulkar. Equally important was the part played by Gambhir and Raina. When Raina came in the match was delicately poised and could have gone either way. another wicket at that stage and Australia would have gained upper hand. It is therefore truly the team effect that won the match for India.
