Do you respond to the feedback on your comment on others' discussions?

Hi,Mylotters! So I was just wondering after you leave a comment on one discussion,do you still come back later if there is a feedback?I mean,I didn't do that earlier.I left a comment and then I just kept on responding to other discussions.I didn't check my e-mail box often back then.So even there was a feedback,I wouldn't know. Now I'm trying to keep up and check my e-mail box as often as possible. Therefore I can participate in the further discussions if there are any. What about you?Do you participate in future discussions or do you just leave a comment and go?And why? Looking forward to your various replies.

Yes I do. It's just like offline for me. If I say something and someone says something back to me, it would be rude not to continue the conversation so I keep on responding until there is nothing more to say. Sometimes it is over in a few hours but other times, even months later I am still adding more comments. Often others join in too and that is where the fun starts

Hi,mysdianait! Yup,the funniest part is to get many people talking. But it's always a difficult goal to achieve.Sometimes it's just not so appealing.

I guess it depends who is actieòly posting at the time of the topic being started though some jump in even days later. Today seems a busy day so be prepared

I don't start many discussions these days as I am usually responding more to other's discussions than creating my own. This takes up quite a bit of time. I try and respond to all comments when I do put up a discussion though, as I feel that people like to be acknowledged for having taken the trouble to comment. _Derek

Hi,Derek! Yeah.I prefer to respond to discussions rather than start my own discussions as well. It's much easier. But I know starting our own seems to be a better way to make more money here.As well,we can get to know other people's opinions towards our problems. Have a nice day! Sarah

Well, there have been discussions that I have started in the past where I have not done this, and did not even take time to try and respond back when a New comment was left as well, but lately I do try to keep up with my discussions I start when I can. I work Full time and so my life is busy but usually not too busy to come in here and spend some time as well.

This is a social network site ,if you ever started or responded to a discussion that meant you really got some interest in it.I came here with a purpose of learning from people ,so i do care about every single feedback and respond back to 'em.

Hi babyanna There are several discussions that I go back to and respond. I feel that if the people involved are interested, it adds value to the discussion. I do not respod going by the emails that MyLot sends instead I always play around with the discussions that I have responded to section holds for me. It keeps me involved and also returning to some discussions where no one responded or added to my response but others did participate and that too adds to the fun

Haha. That's also a good way to keep up.I'm in the mood of checking my Mylot alerts through e-mails 'cause it's easier for me.And I can also know who is starting new discussions.Guess I'm a little bit lazy.

Furthering discussions is something I do the majority of time I am here, with or without the discussion starter. It is a great way to continue adding to a discussion and also a great way for anyone not responding and or commenting to learn something new. But if the last person did not leave room for me to add quality then I have to say that it ends for me, but as a rule many of us do this all day long and or continue it several days later.
@babyanna (1216)

Then what if you get no responses for a few days and then you get one?I mean,it is possible.Like my net connection got cut off before I could respond,so I got to sleep and now I'm responding to your feedback. Will you still check? And also, what if you respond to too many discussions a day that you couldn't remember which ones you have responded to?

if it was a topic that i had responded to, i will not be able to go back anymore to see if anyone else commented on it especially if i have responded to a lot on one day. but if it's a topic that i started, i make sure that i always go back and read through the answers/comments that i received. i would add my own comment sometimes depending on the comments left by other mylotters.

When ever I'm active in this wonderful website, I do respond to the feedbacks within the responses made by me in discussions of others. The sincerity must be there which makes the response from everyone apt and ready to shoot. The email upon any such feedbacks is a great method to keep up the spirit in Mylot. The time these days is very constricted in my case. When I had joined this site I never lost a days participation but from the days my studies got in between with the engineering, I lost the valuable time out here as well. That doesn't mean I concentrate that hard on my academics either, lol! Anyway the remaining time that I have is for mylot too.

Thanks for the compliments. Internet connectivity still remains a matter of concern in many places, yet whenever there's availability we accept it both hands indeed. good to know that you are an English major student. This is the best platform for improving the Language, thoughts, and everything form big to tiny. I am a big fan of Aamir Khan as well. Always welcome to friendships, you too have a wonderful and pleasant day all together,I say have a Super Sunday dear bayanna.

LOL!Thanks!I am having a great day so far.I should have mentioned that it's not about internet connectivity. It's just that in my university, the net connection gets cut off after 11:30 p.m. to make sure we won't stay up late playing computer games or whatever. My bad for not mentioning it earlier. So you also a university student?

Hi,sajeevking! It's pretty cool!Haha. And it's possible to get responses weeks or even months later if that Mylotter hasn't checked for a long time and then found some comments on his/her discussions and then just typed in the feedback.

Of course! I always return back to the discussions if ever someone replied to my post specially if I am really interested with the topic. This way, we can communicate better by exchanging thoughts and opinions and what would you know, perhaps you may win a friend at the end the day. :)

If I respond to more than one person in a discussion, I think I would have to look through each box to see if there was someone who responded to me. I may be wrong on this, but I think only if I made an initial response do I get an email about other responses after me. I have sometimes looked through discussions where I had responded in several boxes and found many responses to me that didn't appear in my email. I usually also respond to the main discussion so I get at least one response and I often do look at all the responses in order to see if anyone responded to me in other boxes.

Hi babyanna, as long as there is something left to discuss, I would definitely keep adding my views to the discussion in which I have taken part either mine or others'.That is thee whole idea of starting and participating in a discussion. One should never limit oneself to any one topic, but keep adding more details and more information...

I usually check for responses on the issue I have commented on. It is important for me to know opinion of people who posted on the same issue that is why I participated on it in the first place. It's fun seeing people's feedback on what you think whether they agree or oppose to what you have said.

Hello babyanna, I follow all my discussions. The notifications of my friends are "on" and I check frequently my email : I have created a directory to filter the emails from myLot, so it is easier to follow the discussions and delete the old emails. It is very interesting to see that some discussions can be responded months after you started them, and I like to comment back.

Hi,topffer! That's a good way to do it.I have one e-mail box specially for my "business"So I just arrange the e-mails by the senders. It's truly interesting to see some ones being responded to weeks later or even years later.I once tried to respond to some discussions started a couple of years ago, especially some categories of the movies.

When I was a newbie, I don't because I didn't know then that you don't get paid with the number of posts in your discussion. Thanks to the veteran Mylotters here I was able to correct that. I now comment on my discussions and when they comment back I try to respond to further the discussion. When I comment on the discussion of others I try to comment back if there is still something I want to say. It is by way of commenting back that you earn here at Mylot.
