Sri Lanka inflicts humiliating defeat on England to romp into semi final.

It definitely was a one sided match. England were really no match against the Lankans. Actually I was really disappointed with England. There were portions in the match had they been brave they could have put up a fight. But they were really too frightened and disappointing and deserved to lose the match. Cheers! Ram

Yesterday till the time Sri Lankan Team has not started the batting , it was felt that England performed under the pressure and as a result of that they could score 229 and it was further felt that England can also put the Sri Lankans under pressure! But once the match has started with Sri Lankan Batsman, it was hard to believe that we are watching a quarter final match of the World Cup Tournament! Sri Lankan Batsmen were treating the England team as some Local school boys team and they were practically getting runs from every where! the Shower of the runs by the Openers were enough to drench the England's team and further to drown them! What an Humiliating experience for the Team of England! The Sri lankan Batnmen were in superb form and nothing could stop them from getting a century each by the openers.This match will be remembered for ever and when ever the talk about dedication and determination comes in the World Cricket, this match will be discussed as an example to quote the extraordinary performance of the Sri Lankan team with full of determination and dedication to defeat the opponents in a humiliating manner! Now having climbed to semi final stage, there are every chances that this team will thrash the New Zealand's team to book a seat in the Finals. Looking at the form of the team, I think the New Zealanders must be in a great pressure and similarly, even before the semi finals India and Pakistan also must be feeling pressure looking at the present form of this great team! Being Indian, it would be unfair to say that Sri Lanka can lift the World Cup, but looking at the form and the way the Sri Lankan Team performing, it will be a biased thing if I deny to say so! It was really a humiliating End for England. Sri lankan opener had played very well and it was awesome performance for team sri lanka. They left England behind in all part of the game. Two cenutry at the top it make sri lanka more confidential. Hey They will sure be in final..........
