Best Ice Cream Topping

I was just thinking about what the most popular topping is for ice cream? I am not sure that I have a favorite, but I was thinking about several things that you could put onto the ice cream.
I was thinking about coconut, chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, candy sprinkles, butterscotch topping, marshmallow creme, even granola could be used for topping for ice cream. What is your favorite and can you think of any others?

I'm sure mine aren't very popular, but I like fruit like crushed pineapple or raspberry and nuts. I also like honey, fruit, and nuts. I never think of coconut, but I would like that. We have maple syrup on ours up here some times.

I am not a fan of maple syrup so I would not use that, but I would use the crushed pineapple or something in the fruit category. I never thought of honey either.

I will have to try honey on mine today. Of course, since I bought ice cream they are predicting it to drop in temperature today and I will be too cold for ice cream.

Honey is great, it becomes harder and like butterscotch or caramel in consistancy.

Blueberry syrup sounds delicious! I have french vanilla ice cream and I might like it with blueberry syrup but I do not think that I have ever seen blueberry here. I will look when I go to the store this week. Thanks for the idea!

For me, some of my favorite toppings on Ice Cream would have to be Hot Fudge, Carmel, Marshmallow Creme, Nuts and Marichino cherries. If you add a Banana in with most of these toppings and divide it into 3 for a Banana split now we are talking. Ice Cream is a good treat for summertime for sure.

I had almost forgotten about those cherries and I did not even think of hot fudge- thanks! I would like to have a banana split- YUMMY!!! I do like ice cream in the summer time.

I agree with you on that. My daughter prefers strawberry syrup, but I like Hershey's chocolate as well. I agree that sprinkles is a great safe choice. My daughter eats sprinkles on pancakes as well.

Different people prefer different flavours. My favorites are chocolate and vanilla. I have been addicted to chocolate, any thing chcolate, for years, ice cream, cakess, milk, pudding, and so on. I keep a bucket of chocolate ice cream in my refrigerator always.

I enjoy chocolate too. I agree that many people have different likes in flavors, but I was just wondering if there were some toppings that more people used than others and was hoping to learn of some new toppings.

A variety of your favorite cereal and nuts would do! I'm thinking of your favorite fruits too! I hope these completes the dessert bar for you. :)

I love the colorful chocolate sprinkles on my ice cream as toppings. If not available, some glazed and chopped almonds will do the trick. I am trying to cut down my sugar intake so I try to avoid Hershey's chocolate syrup.

My favorite for ice cream toppings is definitely chocolate syrup and a cherry on top. Classic yet delicious. I really love sprinkles and marshmallows on them too. I also love putting some chocolate biscuit or a kitkat togother with the cherry on top. It's so delicious. Now, I am craving for ice cream.
