Vanilla Ice was one of the biggest if not the biggest stars of the 90s
this white kid lorded over the radio airwaves with his rapping, which was ruled by african americans at that time. It was an impossible feat for this pasty skinned guy but he rose to the top like a shooting star!
and with his rapid rise to the top came his sudden decline as well.
One minute he's on top, the next he's a nobody.
Do you think he's out on the streets and panhandling?
nope. He somehow invested his money well and is living a comfortable life with his family and kids.
He tried several times to revive his career but he never really attained his former success.
I'd still check his music out though, just to see what twisted lyrics he has for the world to hear again.

I think he is a little bit successful with other stuff but I think the money he made with his short career is not gone.

Sure, that hair, that dance, he was a hit in 91 or 2, it was really fun and he is one of the responsible for me to learn to dance street dance.
That movement with the legs was like the best dance ever, it was the begining of hip hop, my favorite and Michael Jackson's dance begun to be obsolete.

Yes, I remember Vanilla Ice. As a matter of fact, I recently shared the very same song that you are talking about with my kids, who think it is great.
I haven't followed him enough to know what he is doing since his rapid fall in the music industry, but, if he is doing well as you say, that's great. Too many of those that rapidly rise to fame and fall just as rapidly, end up blowing their fortunes and in the end have nothing to show for their accomplishments aside from the lyrics they were once famous for.
Here's another one that was once a hit, but you never even hear about anymore...remember Snow and his song "Informer"?

yeah he's into music production now
he also performs but his crowd is way smaller than what he was used to
only diehard vanilla ice fans go to his shows now
informer was a great song too hehehe
