given the money , i would like to have my own restaurant business

I guess each and every one of us, while working full time has a dream of having a business of our own. This emanates from our interests in life. I guess, your dad's emanate from his being a chemist. Me, it's because i love eating! Luckily, i get to control my portions.

well there are sort of christmas bazaars in my location that the rent per day is less than $5 a day so i think it will be good to try your products first if they can sell. My food is basically simple but really hard to find or they are really expensive.

Yes, because everybody needs to eat and is fond of eating out. Although, it has to be strategically located in a place where there could be a niche for regular customers like a company or a school . In addition, you have to have affordable & delicious foods and clean surroundings.

Well professor, i am now having second thoughts on that dream. My husband said, if we retired from work and would get into business like that, it would really drain our savings if it will not prosper. He said, it will be better that we just enjoy our retirement and live simply but comfortably. I think he has a point there. Anyway, should that be realized i will invite you.

Maybe someday you can pursue that dream again. Like me, this dream has been since i started working in an office. I just don't have yet the finances and the knowledge in managing it. But since now the company i work with deals in managing our company's franchised restaurants, i am little by little acquiring the ropes of how to manage it.

A pastry shop is nice also. In having a business monitoring our cost of sales and overhead expenses as against our sales is very important indeed. What's the use of having a business if the overhead expenses is more than the sales? Might as well close it , like you did.

Maybe when that time comes for us, my husband and i can alternately do the supervision. Having a boutique too is nice.

Well, you are right. I guess, during that time we shouldn't be doing anything anymore that may worry us such as how the restaurant is running. However, as of now it's what's on our mind for us to have something to do when we retire. We would like to be mentally active even during those years through that. I just hope too that it will materialize when the time comes.

No, it won't be an expensive restaurant. It shall be just an approachable, simple witn affordable & delicious foods, type of restaurant.

I think having a restaurant or anything that caters food is the most dreamed of business. With all those people wanting to eat at any time of the day, restaurants are really a thriving business, given the correct management.

I guess, you have a classier type of restaurant in mind. What i have is just a simple restaurant that caters to people in all walks of life. Being an employee, i now know the need to have a restaurant that is affordable to people who are always in the rush in the morning and at noon and those are the common employees. I think, we should just read on the internet to learn more about having a restaurant. As to how to operate , the Department of Trade and Industry maybe of help to us. I hope too, that our dreams will come true! And i hope by then , Mylot is still here for us to share our stories.
