There has been a lot of hype with The launch of the iPad 2. My question is, is it worth it? I a huge apple lover, and I am dying to get my hands on one. Should I be this anxious? I mean when you boil it down, it is only another tablet. I think it is a remarkable device, and I play on purchasing one once they actually get some shipment, but are all these people waitin in line wasting their time? And is it such an amazing device that people will pay over 300$ retail price for one?

I'm thinking,if you managed to hold off on buying the ipad 1 when it launched, you could manage quite well without this one as well..I started another discussion on hearing there were aftermarket keyboards available for the ipad..if you paid this much for a tablet device, why pay more to turn it into a clamshell when there were cheaper options in the first place?

I didn't have an interest in the original iPad until my dad purchased one. I was at his house a few times and used it and it is quite an amazing device. This got me thinking about the iPad 2, and I started to read all of the reviews of it. I agree with the question of why buy another keyboard. If you don't care too much about the price I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea, and from what I have read it has the best touch screen available. Personally I would never by a keyboard for it, just a stylus pen.

Sorry to say that Im totally disagree with you.ipad2 is surely not a remarkable device. For hardware,it did not prove too much.Let alone ,it has got too much bugs, the screen, the wifi, usb,sd card, etc. For software,I think it's needless to say,a tablet which do not support multitasking could not be called "tablet".It's very uncounciors to buy a ipad2.Just wait for ipad3,That's the one which can be called remarkable device.

the ipad 2 is a multitask capable device. Whether or not you consider running apps in the background to be multitasking is another point. However, I still believe that Apple has broken new grounds with the new device. Even though the specs for it may not be as impresseive as other devices, it utilizes them in the best way possible. I doubt you even realize that it is a 512 Ghz processor as compared to a 1 Ghz for example. I do agree with integrating a slot for external memory or an SD card slot.

Well the Ipad 2 is an improvement over the Ipad one however it really isn't all that much of one due to the closeness of the first one coming out so the iPad is still a good buy and you should be able to t get these cheap from some of the outlet websites on the internet. If you want to get one from apple they might also have some too. People will pay the price for them because a good portion are Apple Fans so they will purchase it because it is the latest thing from Apple me personally have recently switched to the Apple Platform because of movie editing and other requirements that have better solutions on the Mac OS so I have a 27" Imac which is an amazing machine and I will most likely save up for an Mac Pro. I don't see tablets as being something I would use but I might in the future. If you think it is a good purchase where you could get a lot of use out of it then I would say spend the money to get it and plan on having it for a while as the iPad is still ahead of the other tablets on the market. Right now Android is getting kicked in the Tablet market due to companies not building the level of hardware in their tablets that Apple put into theirs Apple saw a golden chance to put their company in the cutting edge as they are extremely good with personal devices like the iPods and the iTouch and only recently lost to Android and the Droids in the phone market with their iPhone now pulling in second.

I agree that apple has an amazing platform and they get all the hype because they are one of the best marketing companies out there. They almost brainwash the population to become fixated on their product. By no means am I saying that the consumers will be disappointed, as apple is an amazing company with incredible product, but they are able to sell their products well, unlike a lot of computer companies present.

The ipad2 will cost more than $499, and I don't know whether it is worth the price or not. I am curious, and I really have no idea whether how good it is, and so many people crazy about it, that is why I also want to get one myself too. Should this worthwhile? I also debating on my head, will this ipad 2 worth the price I pay at Black Friday, or is it something else?

I'm planning to buy an iPad soon once I manage to save enough money. I really think the iPad is very helpful for people like me who are always on the go but still need to be digitally connected especially since my job requires me to be online most of the time.

I'm torn about this too. I think it's worth it if you travel a lot and want a tablet with you instead of a laptop. It sure seems to have a lot of amazing functions. Plus, I love the video capability. I think that was a huge downside to the original IPad, and now this seems like a big improvement. I don't think I'd wait in line either - I always think with major releases like this it's better to hold off a bit, wait to hear about the "bugs" and "glitches" and then make an informed decision, not just from the company's marketing.

I agree, there are always going to find a problem with it that they will have to fix. I'm from Canada, so I kind of got that benefit without having to wait till after the big launch, with the U.S. getting it first and such.

I am big fan on this device too, and I would definitely want to get one if I have this much cash on hand. I still have other consideration, and I am hesitate to get one now. Hopefully, I can save enough, and get rid some of my debt. Hopefully my dream come true on this one.
