I've started eating healthy last 2 years when I've failed in a medical exam for my new job so I need to retake it again so the doctor can give me a clearance. Even though I am upset in what happen, I am also worried since the doctor told me that I have a small stone in my kidney. The Doctor told me that I eat too much salt or sodium so I need take a medicine and drink a lot of water. But I did not follow the doctors advice so I take the natural way. I started eating vegetables and less meat for a while, Then I began eating steam vegetables, I feel energized and it gives me more vitality unlike before. I still drink a lots of water, after a months of check up my problem in kidneys is gone. That is the time when I started thinking about healthy things. I did a lot of research from internet to books, and I found out that you can get all the nutrition in food by eating it raw. The undercooked it gets the more nutrition you received, the less processed the more vitamins it gets. So I started eating raw, it tastes bad though. After that I started working out and buy a couple of Weights and started exercising everyday. I don't feel tired in work and feel great. Annual Physical Exam always pass. And now I always think that if you can eat salad you can also eat raw vegetables make sure to wash it? How do you find my diet or eating habit? do you find me weird? A lot of people gross out when they see me they think I am goat even my girlfriend told me that. haha

I find that it's great that you are starting to eat healthy! It's not weird or gross. It's good to eat healthy and raw food because of all the natural vitamins in the food. A lot of people are just like you who want to be healthy and not go back to the old you. And unlike other people you actually stayed with the healthier lifestyle. Good job! It's okay to treat yourself to something that isn't raw once in a while, it's also good for you! Keep up with your good eating habits and good luck!

Thanks I really love this kind of life. Actually, raw vegetables is just part of my meal, I actually add lean cuts of meats like beef and roast chicken (no fried), fruits and oatmeals.

I eat lots of raw foods and have been a vegetarian (no meas, seafood, or poultry and very little dairy, eggs, honey, etc) for over twenty years now. I feel great but many people do think my diet is weird because I don't eat meat. They ask me what I eat. I say, "everything you do, but no meat!" I eat pastas, sandwiches and subs, burgers (bean burgers, veggie burgers), salads (green salads, fruit salads, pasta salads, potato salads), and even things like veggie chili and such. I don't think your diet is strange at all! Congratulations on being healthier and more active!

No! You're definitely not a goat, it's definitely not gross or weird. I am actually interested in starting that kind of diet. It's certainly healthier and it promotes longer life. Anyway, I live with my family and whatever my mother prepares, that's what I eat. So unfortunately I won't be able to experience that kind of diet yet. I told my mother before that I want to eat raw vegetable, she didn't disagree but she also doesn't support me. Whatever my parents serves on the table, that's what I have to eat. Anyway, did you know that cooked tomatoes are actually more nutritious than the raw ones?

Thank you very much for your understanding autumndreamer, I know that it is not weird its just that some people think it is. But anyway it is more healthy to eat this kind of foods, but if some people don't like this kind of food in raw, then better prepare it by steamed or boiled. Safety and peace!

That is awesome that you figured out how to be so healthy and pass the medical exams! My brother has kidney stones but refuses to drink water. He drinks dr. pepper and doesn't eat any vegetables at all hardly. I am glad you have found out how to eat properly and feel better!

Raw Vegetable Diet A large variety of vegetables are found in nature. Vegetables are an integral part of a healthy diet. They are rich in vitamins and minerals and low in sodium, fats and calories. They are totally free from cholesterol. They are the rich sources of antioxidants. Most vegetables consist of phytochemicals, which prevent some chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and some types of cancers. Generally, vegetables are eaten in a cooked form. But we can get numerous health benefits if we eat the vegetables in a raw form. They are most nutritious in their raw forms. It is necessary to thoroughly wash the vegetables before you eat them in raw form.

You are very much right! Study shows that vegetarians are less to have a disease like High cholesterol or High blood pressure or cardiovascular diseases. Because most of the food don't have saturated or high fats. But we still need a balance meal that is why we need to eat some lean cuts of meats like fish, chicken or beef yes beef small sliced parts of meat. Add some exercise and you are more healthy than ever. Stay healthy!Cheers!

hi exkrima, Eating right and chewing the right food is very important for us. We need to eat right for staying alive and to have the amount of energy to work. For me, the reason I wanted to eat healthy is because I need the energy to excel in my career. I want to wake up early is also because I want to spend time to work an see people during the day. Eating raw food or healthy food is to provide our body the amount of nutrients to make us stay healthy and make us feel good. I started my day with prebiotics, and then I will take flaxseed oil after breakfast. Then, I will drink plenty of water before I go for my breakfast. I can't be chewing vegetables everyday because I have to leave for work early in the morning. What I will do is, i try to eat more quality food and stay away from fry foods. Also, eating more fruits is important. They say, eat fruits before u have your meal. Make it a habit to exercise everyday. I walk to the park everyday for 30 mins the most. It's refreshing and a plus point for your health!

I love flaxseed that is some nice good fats there. I include it as part of my meal since we really need some good fats in our body to counter the bad fats like for example saturated fat since I eat lean meats. I also fruit, my rule in the thumb, is whenever I try to binge in twinkies or donuts, I have to think the sweet fruits and honey. less calories more nutritious and gives you energy whole day long. You are right that some people don't realize that we need to eat this kind of food stay alive, They don't even realize that and they blame the disease that they did not even know that It is because of what they eat. Thank you for the comment jacklintan! And stay healthy! cheers!

Eating healthy is great! I love raw vegetables. I often eat them in salads but I also eat them alone at times. They're great to munch on for snacks. And there are so many great veggies to choose from that are delicious raw. Kuddos to you for starting a healthier eating lifestyle!

I don't like eating raw vegetables at all. But i like your diet, hope to follow it when I have the guts to eat food raw. I eat vegetables but only when they're cooked, I don't even exercise a lot. It's really hard to stay healthy...

Eating raw vege does bring more good than bad to our body. Usually a boil or stem vege is better than stir fry. It doesn't taste good, i agree, but anything that taste good mean bad to our health. I heard corriander or parsley stock can remove kidney stone as well. Boil corriander and drink the water we use to boil it. That is what I heard, I don't know how true is it. Vege I like raw, cabbage. Others? I need to think about it first.

Well here in asia most of vegetables here are actually organic. For now I guess I prefer buying in our local market since it is directly coming from the farmers in our area. If I have an own backyard why not, we used to have a backyard, but unfortunately I moved from one to place to another. But that is part of my plan if ever I move to some soil and green place. I hate this city it so polluted. Thanks for the comment. Have a great day!

Eating raw vegetables will give you vitamins, minerals and aminoacids. Aminoacids are the building blocks of proteins. Some of the vegetables contain some specific aminoacid, for example Mushroom contain some specific aminoacid including essential aminoacids. So if we use raw vegetables, we will get 100% nutrition from that, than the cooked vegetables. Hence make use of raw vegetable in our life will make us healthy.....
