It appears Shahrukh Khan is in with better days. His KKR started dominating in the IPL. They had an easy dominating win today against Rajasthan Royals. They won by 9 wickets and one and half overs to spare. KKR after winning the toss put RR in to bat but the strong batting line up of RR, strengthened by the inclusion of Australian Bangladesh series hero Watson, struggled on the slow pitch. They could only manage 159 runs in alloted 20 overs which KKR surpassed loosing just 1 wicket. Gambhir and Kallis were in devastating form particularly Gambhir who started attacking with the word go. He scored 75 of just 44 balls. Kallis who was cautious initially picked up the speed later and scored 80 of 65 balls. It was truly a dominating win for KKR.

It was really an awesome innings from Gambhir and Kallis,Gambhir specially seems to be liking the captaincy role a lot.I dont know what exactly is the feeling in Kolkata. But really KKR does not look like the underdog they have been in the past three editions. It was really a blunder by RCB by not retaing Kallis.Kallis is again looking solid in this season of the IPL aswell. It seems we are in for a Sachin-Kallis race this season aswell.

After making some tactical blunders in the first match and narrowly losing it, Gambhir seems to have come to terms with the captaincy of the team. KKR now seems to be front runner in winning this years IPL along with Sachin's Mumbai Indians. KLallis is a great player by any standards. RCB has definitely blundered in not retaining him and Dravid. They look an ordinary side now.

I think there is a better balance in this KKR team. The previous teams had too many captains for my liking and too less foot soldiers. This team has just one captain and there are quality players all the way through. Yesterday, I thought Gambhir played really well and Kallis was as efficient as ever. Cheers! Ram

Congratulations to KKR for winnings the match. Kallis has registered his third consecutive half centuries and help to win the match. Gambhir was too good to handle for the Rajasthan Royals, even Warne himself couldn't help. Gambhir finally played an innings after being the highest paid cricketer of IPL which is hopping 2.4M. KKR is having good time now. But it is too early to say as there are many matches remaining and KKR failed to reach the semi finals last three times so lets hope they can manage this time. Good Luck to them.
