Being single...

Being single when you're young is fine but try being single all your life when everyone else is building a family and has no time for you as a friend because you can't offer them your family to interact with! Yes, there are advantages to be truly single but it's hard work as you get older and have to do absolutely everything yourself to keep body and soul together. I have been nothing but single and, believe me, it's not that much fun when you don't even have a loving family to help you out in times of crisis. I do as much as I can to keep myself happy and interested in life but I crave daily companionship. If you're happy being single, that's good for you but don't wave the Single Banner and ask everyone to join the club! If being single was all that great, everyone would remain that way!
