I've been addicted to poker in the past. There were no Friday nights poker for me, it was every night is a poker night with friend and acquaintances. I just love the game, but it just got out of hand, and i have been spending large amount of money every night, i know i have to control it. So what i did at first, is I only bring a fair amount of money when i play, and if i lost,I always remind myself that its time to go home. Diverting yourself to other forms of activities could also help, I've engaged myself to running, so now its less poker for me, more tracks to run. When you gamble, just have fun and don't be lured in by the vengeance of losing. Just bear in mind, that your spending money to have fun, win or lose.

You should only gamble if you got money you can afford to lose so it doesent affect you as much if you lose it all, and try to only play for a little while as the longer you paly the the more youll gradually lose over time.

Yes, that's the main rule of poker. You can only bet the amount that you can afford to lose. Bankroll management is everything on poker otherwise you are not going to be a winner player.

Gambling must be a sort of hobbies, must most of the people doing it to earn money. Maybe you win some time but not all the time you are lucky, just like what happen to you. try to go back to what you really do before, for you to forget the gambling things. We know sometimes the if you make it a hobby of playing gambling, a big possibility that you will be addicted to it. So as early as now, try to forget that thing, if you don't want to be addict to it.

Gambling place - Don't gamble.
I am not a gambler and will never ever attempt to be one. No gambler ends up well. If you want to be reduced to being a beggar do gamble. I don't even go to places like casino to avoid being tempted. Once you start playing and you win then that's the beginning. Without you knowing it you are already hooked. So how do you stop this bad habit. You alone can solve this urge to gamble. If there is a will there is a way!

There's no cure for that. LOL. My mom is like that and I don't know how to stop her. The only way is "if she doesn't have money to play" for more. that's where she stop. Try to divert it. do some sports, learn a music instrument, play a game, go party, be with your friends, spend time with your family, anything that will make you forget about gambling. :) or maybe get yourself BANNED from that place. hehehehe ^_^

If your mom have this problem and it's serious, you should help her. But, you need to help her seriously, taking away her money it's not going to solve the problem. There are a lot of associations like AA, but for gambling addiction. I live in a small city, but we have one association like this.

I have been to Japan and have seen those machines. They are everywhere! And I know what you mean about it being so addicting. I guess the only way to stop gambling is to find something else to do. Find a new hobby that would peak your interest. Anything but hitting those pachinko machines. Good luck!

its not the game .people playing are gamblers. so to win you should learn how to gamble. it should be out of the box ideas to implement.

Keep your mind busy and preoccupied with your job or another hobby. Keep a bible with you all the time and whenever you think of gambling again just pray fir God to help you fight the urge. You will never fail. Good luck and God bless you.

Gambling is the devil's advocate. Didn't you notice that it would at first make you win but in the end you lose more than you win? I think you are already addicted to it. Pray that you will overcome it but you have to help yourself by having a strong determination to stop it. Stay away from those places where there are gambling machines. If you don't see them, you will not have the desire to gamble.
