Read the Gospel. What was Jesus Christ's goal? It was the joy of His disciples. Joy in their discipline. Make your goal obedience to your mentor and his ways.

to be a good businessman I guess we need discipline because we have to deal with people who will become partners or clients. These people will be rude and annoying sometimes, but if we want to get the profit from them, we have to be nice to them. Otherwise we won't get their money, which is what is really important for our careers, right? Even if money isn't the goal, a career always involves discipline. People in sports may be arrogant but they have a lot of discipline when it comes to physical activity. So based on what career you want, you will need some form of discipline. Personally, I think some people are too disciplined because they are willing to listen to everything their boss says. If you don't like to listen to others, you might want to choose a career where you can be more independent. But independent careers also take a lot of discipline, in different ways.

Discipline is my number problem right now....well that mixed with procrastination. I think those are the number one problem that separates people failing and being successful. Discipline is something everyone can learn, just if they are willing. I just feel like there is so much distraction today, especially on the internet. I think I need a computer that doesn't give me access to anything but what I need to do.
