An Angelina Jolie starrer is always action packed. Although I have not seen the Tourist yet, I think that I am very satisfied with SALT. Jolie plays the role of a CIA agent turned assassin all because she had been brainwashed from childhood that she had to fulfill a mission for a Russian master spy.
Set within the standards of James Bond and Jason Bourne espionage movies, Angelina showed that a lady could tackle such a tough spy role. In fact, Angelina should be credited for earthshaking stunts that even 007 would not execute!
Take this movie with a grain of salt. You'll enjoy it.

I didn't liked the movie salt much, although i think Jolie is a great actor i didn't like her much at this movie.
I think this movie was to fiction it looked like the agent there are super heroes that jumps from car to car..
I think i would like this movie more is it was a true story about this Russian spy

Just watched SALT last week during the holidays and i also find it fascinating. I am till now amazed with her, its like whenever she acts, she is really owning the character and really believable though i know there are stunts there that might be done by a double but still maybe she did most of it too. Plus the plot is intriguing and interesting.

Actually it has been released a long time ago but i haven't been able to see it yet.Angelina jolie must have done a great job as she is quite good actor especially in action movie.Thanks for raising this discussion i will download it today and watch it

I saw Salt when it first came out, and totally agre with you. It is an action packed movie with some good twists throughout and it isn't until the end that you find out whether she is a CIA or Russian agent. The plot and story line have you embarking on a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. Well directed and Angelina Jolie plays her part with the right amount of believability and decepton to never let the viewer feel that she has over played or existed in a world of impossibilities.

i wish it was longer, i like it so much... or a pert 2 perhaps.. :) i wanted it not because of "oh it's Jolie!!" or because the trailer was catchy... i watched it because of the tag line "who is Salt?" and it was not a mistake of downloading it, now it's on mt ipod.. :)
you better watch the tourist... it's very nice as well, :)

Wow, you really don't pay attention to the trailers do you?
If I watch a trailer, and I don't like the trailer for that film, then I can promise you, I will not be watching that movie.

Not my loss, rogue. Actually, this is the first good movie I have seen since I watched Iron Man 2.
As for trailers, hmmmm, I have seen much teasing that are just best left at that - trailers!
rogue, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. It is a lesson from long ago...

Yes, I saw this when it first came out and loved it. The role that she took in this is well in line with her previous action movies like Lara Croft so I was not disapointed with this one.

I watched both Salt and the Tourist. Since you haven't watched the Tourist yet, so I won't say a word about it here. As to the movie Salt. I had expected it a lot. After I watched it, I felt confused and I didn't really understand which side that Angelina Jolie belonged to:)

I really enjoyed all of Angelina's movies from Gia to the tourist, well main man Johnny Depp. Salt was everything I needed in a movie, great action, a lot of suspense, and amazing stunts, then the twist at the end, which makes it even better for salt two. If you like salt I know you would love the tourist cause her character although not as deadly as Salt but she come close.

Saltiest Movie meaning she is indeed full of SALT all over her sweet curvaceous body, i could imagine how would she taste like that..oops.....ok Its action filled, nonstop action you wont even have time to put salt on your fries.

NO not at all, I was thinking the title SALT itself means Angeline Jolie in her non stop action resulting in a lot of perspiration which is salt ( scientifically..i think)

Salt is ok especially the action part. For me, it is far better than the Tourist. But did you know that the Salt role was not originally intended for Angelina Jolie? Salt originally was supposed to be a male character. I am not sure if it was originally intended for Tom Cruise but I am glad it went to Jolie.

Angelina seems to be a perfect second choice. I believe Tomb Raiders was intended for Catherine Zeta-Jones. Jolie is Salt. Cruise is Hawke. Damon is Bourne. Let it stay that way. But I am happy Jolie is creating a new image of a screen spy. The Charlie's Angels was girlie-ish.

bug, when it comes to big stars, story lines are never inconsistent. Perhaps you were tired when you watched it. Miss a scene and you easily lose the story.

I just watched "Salt" the other day (thank you Netflix) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I gave it a 5 star rating. It really kept me on the edge of my seat. As you said it needs to be taken with a grain of salt but nevertheless very entertaining. Perhaps there could be a sequel??? Now I am waiting to see "The Tourist".

I really enjoyed this movie, the stunts and other movie story line may all of it nicely taken. As you noted Angelina has been well in this movie. Have you seen Tomb rider, I feel those spy roles really suits Angelina. I had seen Tourist in this I liked much of Jonney Depp. For me Tourist is soft movie with a suspense.

I loved watching SALT! I'm glad Angelina Jolie starred in the movie because I think she's perfect for the role. As I was watching, my eyes were totally glued to the screen. I didn't want to miss a thing. I loved the bionic stunts especially when she was chased by fellow CIA.

Yes, i've watched Salt, the movie. It was a great movie and i'm suprised by all her stunts, which she executed on her own, without any doubles. She's a very flexible woman, always wanting to try out new roles. She has that killer body to pull it off, especially after her roles in, Lara craft, and now in Salt again. I can't wait to see her in another action movie.

Actually, i haven't seen that movie of hers yet. But with your recommendation, i will look for a DVD of that , so we could watch it during the week-end.
Angelina Jolie is my favorite. It's just that, i have no more time watching movies because i am at night, after watching my favorite soap "Minsan . . ." i am already sleepy.

I saw the movie salt after one month of its release only but i was waiting to watch it early as soon as possible. I did not get the chance to see it early. I also love to watch action movies like SALT, which has superb action stunts with a extra ordinary chasing and a high class story directed. In many films Angelina has acted superbly in all areas. I like the film WANTED also very much.
