I just watched insidious and it was quite scary. I haven't been scared from a movie for a very long time. The last time was when i watched the sixth sense. The main storyline of Insidious is about astral projection or the out of body experience which then leaves your body vulnerable to possession from lingering souls who still want to experience life. Have you guys had the out of body experience? How does it feel?

I watched Insidious, It says its a true story, but in fact only a small portion of the movie is true. I have heard of Astral Projection and I believe when you have an out of body experience you leave your body and you are susceptible to something negative taking control of your body. If you want to see something very entriging and scary I suggest going on you tube and searching for Annelise Michel Exorcism (They made a movie about it called Emily Rose but the movie is basically junk and does not stick to what really happen). this was a HUGE Case that took place in the 70s. Very Scary, but I don`t doubt for a second if its true or not. They recorded the experience which lasted for months because they wanted to show the world that "Bad" things exist, I don`t even want to talk about it.

I just heard about this movie the other day and watched the trailer. I don't think it looks very good- looks cheesy to me. It doesn't look like the people who wrote it know much about astral projection.

the reality of astral projection makes it a lot less creepy than the film. you're attached to your body, the slightest anxiety, and you're back in it. that and a lot of people have reported being able to see a cord connecting them to their physical body. you couldn't get lost like that. good creepy film though

Never had an outside experience before.. I think. But yes, the movie was quite scary. Although the ghosts and demon didn't look scary, it was pretty creepy and a bit realistic.. Sad ending though, hope there'll be a part two.

Yes. Maybe its scary because somehow it looks realistic. The plot is unique, I must say and the twist at the end was sad, but still adds to the scariness of the movie.

Insidious is a great movie. As soon as I watched it, I got intrigued by how astral projection works. I think that would be cool if you can go to a lot of places without really going there :D. I searched the internet about steps on how to astral project and followed it thoroughly. After a few minutes of trying I just can't help but laugh :D I can't do it. I feel foolish for even trying it. I think you need to have a 'gift' in order to astral project. Well, at least I know that I do not have that gift. :D
