Have had my cell phone for less than a year, but who's calling me?

I guess they just had the wrong number. Maybe your number is similar to whoever they were trying to call?

Did you fill in something online, or ask about a business? I have even entered contests and drawings and ended up with people I do not know callings.

hi kris wow that must have been a costly cell phone call for someone from here in my US . I bet they made an error in their calling and were trying to find someone else in your country . I can feel your frustration as you would not even know this person at all.Did she then hang up or keep you on the line?I did not check your profile so have no idea where you are.What I keep getting here that so irritating is this finance company calling for some strange name and I have to hurry from the bathroom to answer my landline and its not even for me. so they did give me a number. the lady said if I am not Theresa somebody please press the 5 key.so I did that with great pleasure. I did finally get rid of the scammers by getting listed with pleaSE DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER. this does really work as it cuts out all sales calls that I used to get.[

Yesterday, I got a call on my cell phone from some woman, that has the same number that started out like mines was. She asked for a name that I could not understand, and I told her that she has the wrong number. I also did not recognize the cell phone number either. And I also accidentally called the wrong number this afternoon. I was trying to call my husband, but I pressed the wrong buttons to call him. I got an unfamiliar man on the phone instead. This was on my cell phone. He told me that I had the wrong number though. I think that this person that called you dialed the wrong number. Maybe someone used to have, or has an number that was, or is similar to yours in comparison.

hello kris, It do happen when people dialled wrong number. I received few calls from other country and i also wonder how those people were able to have my number. But,they apologize when i response that i am not the person they are calling about,and even the caller itself wonder why they're dialling the wrong number. funny..but it happens

hi, sometimes its really happen to us,maybe that person who calls you maybe dial a wrong number or maybe wrong about the number she/he dialed.why dont you try to answer and know that person.

Could she be calling someone else who lives in your area? Maybe a relative, a friend, perhaps... Just today, I tried to call home on my cellphone, and instead of hitting 7, I hit 4. I got a message "the number you have reached is not in service." If that number had been given out today, someone would have answered. I have a relatively new number too. Maybe it was just a very long distance, wrong number. That's what it sounds like to me. I once got a wrong number, when I tried to call someone in Russia. That was an expensive mistake. LOL
