I know the saying that every bride wants to be the center attention on her wedding day and the wedding dress is a crucial factor in every wedding. When speaking of wedding dresses, bride-to-bes often design or collaborate with a designer to have a unique wedding gown that is their own. With some many fashion styles, it is possible to create a unique gown for a bride. In cases of high profile weddings, like the current royal wedding, designers are often hired to create that unique look. However, there is a notion that every bride-to-be would copy or imitate the style of the newest royal wedding dress. In addition, there are companies who do copy the look and sell them at discount price. If you were a bride, what would you feel if a company wants to reproduce and mass produce your unique wedding design? Do you think copying a wedding dress design is a benefit or would you opt for a really really unique look?

I would not loose a sleep over it. I am not a fashion person. I will even feel proud that my design is becoming a global phenomenon. So that does not really bother me. I feel it will give me some popularity and fame.

As has already been pointed out, Catherine's dress wasn't truly unique itself. It bore a great deal of similarities with the dress that Grace Kelly (Princess Grace of Monaco) wore at her wedding in 1956. The fact that it was a very good and suitable choice for Catherine makes copying acceptable.

It's okey with me and I think I will feel proud because I've set a fashion trend in wedding gowns

For me I don't mind I guess every bride to be has their own rights to wear the same wedding dress they want.Probably it might benefit to the designer because it was like i promoted his/her design, these can only tell that he/she has a great design.
