I am officially canceling my vacation to New York for July/August. There is no way I am traveling when terrorist all around the world are making threats. I am really sorry about that because we should all be free to enjoy life. It is sad when a few people decide that we should not have the right.

I believe you will be safe. Do not worry I asked God to send you an additional angel for protection.

What is to stop one lone terrorist in a small city to walk into a Mall and start shooting just like Fort Hood? Would I go to the middle east no, but then if I went to New York I would be more concerned with muggers and street hoods than terrorists.

That is seriously funny. We have our own brand of terrorist here they are call the crime element. But mostly the damage is done to themselves and within their own particular group when they have differences.

If it is your time, it is your time, no matter where you are. I can understand your concern, but would not cancel travel plans to NY or anywhere else (except maybe the Middle East) because of a vague threat. I flew the month after 9/11, and numerous times since then, both in and out of the US, and never faced any problems other than longer security lines. The choice is ultimately yours, and you have to do what you think is best, but canceling your plans lets the terrorists win. Think of the people who live, work, and travel to NYC every day, and, just by living their normal life and following their normal routine, are standing up to and defeating terrorism.

That was the whole point, to "terrfiy" americans by making us feel unsafe to fly. They have power over us because of this. I mean you're canceling your plans just because their leader was killed and we are so afraid of backlash. They are winning and it's sad.

Fear has a way of working both ways I think. it can disarm you and It can make you stronger and safer.
