Maybe you're not getting enough sleep at night. Honestly, I find it hard to believe that you can never stay awake long enough to finish a page. Find a book about something you're interested in and carry it with you. Read whenever you get a spare minute. Reading is empowering and enriching. It does so much more for your mind than any other form of entertainment. It shouldn't be too hard for you to stay awake long enough to finish a book.

I agree. If the book bores you, it's not something you would want to read. I read my textbooks and they bore me. But if I read novels, I could stay up all night! It's a matter of interest. Don't give up reading! :)

Apparently, you have not found the book you very much enjoy reading. Me too , when I start reading a book which is not to my taste, I would just fall asleep. But, when reading some thing I very much enjoy, then I just could not stop reading till the end of the story.

That always happens to me too, whenever i read while lying in bed , beside my lampshade. But i do that whenever i want to be sleepy already. If i am really bent in reading a book, i would sit upright in a couch and read. That way, i will not fall asleep.

you really need to get a book that gets you gripped from the start! the red dahlia by lynda la plante is my favourite book, i even did a discussion about it. its completely gripping, and fast paced, and you literally cannot put it down.. i LOST sleep because i couldn't stop reading it!

what kind of books are you trying to read? i, personally like fiction novels. i suggest not reading on your bed, before you go to sleep. try reading in your living room where there is natural light. if you still fall asleep, it might be that the book is just plain boring... ;0)
