A lot of construction is going on in our main roads beautification but if you think about it these roads doesnt have any damage but the govt seems to like breaking them down. But in actuality there are areas around the same city that still have dirt roads and even severely broken roads and exposed sewages , so im really wondering why this is going on instead of fixing roads that are truly problematic why change good roads to something aesthetic, weird right?

That's something on my mind as well because it's happening in singapore too. There are times whereby i see a perfect road being reconstructed again within a span of months. While there are some roads with uneven surface, yet it was left ignored for years before they do something. In my mind, i'm giving them the benefit of doubt that when there are no complaints made, they won't take notice, resulting in no actions taken.

It is all politics. It you beautify the main roads, you attract tourists and money. You also attract new residents and more money. The back roads are in areas that are not "paying their share of taxes" and will never get the proper upgrades. Try living in Fl. Everything is geared for the tourists. Nothing is done for the residents although we pay for everything.

It is the way that government work. You od the work that will get you the most votes and you try to please those people.
