If you won $800 million in the lottery, what's the dumbest thing you could do?

Money can make you crazy. It's like extra strong beer that can make you drunk and make you do wrong decisions. What will you do if 800 million dollars (crisp brand new bills stacked neatly together) is in front of you right now? Would you tell your neighbors? Would you dance like a lunatic? Will you throw up? Will you smash your head against the wall?
Here's a dumb scenario. You will buy a $750 million mansion in Beverly Hills. Since you will pay 10% real estate tax every year, you can be sure that in 10 years, you will be deep in debt. Worse, no one's gonna buy your house because even the multi-millionaires think it's too expensive. This is dumb hahaha!
Or you can do this. You go to the nearest Casino and bet everything on one night. In the morning when you wake up, you suddenly realize, "You just lost 800 million dollars last night you moron!" Your whole family is gonna be pissed. Your own Father will disown you and say "You could have at least given me some for my retirement and for your mother's hospital bills son. Why did you forget to give us?" It will break your heart to hear your mom and dad say that to you. Now that's dumb!
Or maybe you can run to the middle of the street, get hit by a bus, and wake up in excruciating pain in the hospital! Worse, you find out that your check was picked up and encashed by someone else. hahaha. That's stupid :)

Wow! $800 million? That was such a big amount. My question is can I buy a land in the moon with that sum of money? That might sounds dumb but that is the question isn't it? LOL. And I won't forget to donate at least 10% of it to the charity (which means 80 million and this is not dumb I know)

If I win so much, I will reassure myself several times that I am not living through a dream by asking many people to confirm that my experience is not a dream but a reality and irritate them. This is the dumbest thing I will do. Oh, you asked me about the money. The dumbest think I can do with the money is to lend the entire money to the most bankrupt government in the world government and receive a government bond that is set to become a worthless paper on the date of maturity.

Having 800 million dollars open a lot of possibilities that have harmful consequences. I suppose some of the worst would be: opening a company with no knowledge in the field and getting bankrupted and upsetting the market and workers, trying to bride the government, trying to buy your own country, trying to buy your own celebrity, trying to make your own movie, trying to name a star and trying to get your name on television. 
I think if that much money comes into any one's hands the first thing needed is to sit down and think.

Money can make the word goes around. If ever I won in a lottery I wont waste that money.Better if I will donate it into the Charity and build my own house. I will use the money very wisely.

The dumbest thing I cld do is loan most of it to fam and friends. You know you will never it again and your have nothing to show for it. Also buy a house and car i cant afford once the money is gone and I have no job. Ppl always do the dumb stuff when they get alot of money. Its just burning a hole in the pocket.

I could imagine, in a more logical state, that some people when suddenly possessed with millions of dollars, buy unnecessary expensive items that soon run your bank dry. Like solid gold tv's and stuff, or buying like 20 Ferrari's. If I had all that money, I'd buy a regular house for like $900,000, 2 cars (1 truck and a regular car, maybe a motorcycle too), deck out my house with everything I could possibly want, not spending more than another million, then using the rest for things here and there.

I'll do the right things first. Buy a large land on the village. building the house, building a ranch and deposit some money in the bank. Monthly, I'll get passive income from my ranch and bank interest. after all, I'll turn around the world with families.

I think the dumbest thing I could do was to see that my numbers had all just come up, then discover that I've lost the lottery ticket which can't be found anywhere. If I hadn't lost it though and was able to claim all that money, I think the dumbest thing I could do would be to allow unscrupulous financial advisers to persuade me into lots of useless and loss-making investments.

People normally will not think of the dumbest thing they can do to lose $800 million. I for one will make sure I secure my family first. Invest the money in all right places, like buy stable stocks and business franchises.
Of course I will also enjoy some of the money to buy stuff and go on vacations around the world. Buy a new home, etc.
There will be lots of pitfalls which could send any sudden millionaires into bankrupcy, and perhaps even danger to life. Such mistakes include: not paying taxes, not hiring competent people to protect your money and family, spending too much, trusting people too much, etc.

If i won $800 million in the lottery,I will pay its tax first then I will go to pedestrian space where the begger do their begging,I will hug them with love and get picture with them and ask them all to eat with me at royal 5 star restaurant.

I will first have a very fine dining with my family and friends, then i wwill buy a big landed property on stay and rent the flat i am staying. i wwill buy another condo if there is money left and let it rent out again to earn money every month. then i can really relax in my landed property.

If I won the lottery for $800, the dumbest thing I could do with it would be to go waste all of that money on the lottery and not win anything. After winning $800, I would probably feel like I could win it again, so I would go and use the money on the lottery again hoping to win it. But I'm not that stupid to waste $800 on nothing, I would rather use some of it on gaming (buying video games, accessories, etc.) and save up the rest for my education.

I dont think I'll do the dumbest thing with big number of money :-p
Surely I will go out of town, have long vacation with family, spoil my body to the skin care & spa, shopping all day without thinking that my money can be lost, treat all of my friend their favourite movie and food, buy some land and house for investment, buy all update electronic, dream car, continue study, prepare to be entrepreneur and the saldo I will send to bank. I think I must be satisfied with that number, hahahaha

If I won in the lottery, I would definitely put it to good use. But since the discussion does not gear towards that beautiful thought, I would probably steer my mind off those investment plans.
Well, I probably would have to tear the ticket. That's it. That way I would not take too much effort spending something that I probably end up feeling miserable about.
