People drinking tons of soda/energy drinks today, do you even enjoy the taste?

Orange Juice vs Soda - Do you like fruit juice or soda better, tastewise or nutritionwise? Why? Personally, I love fruit juice alot, it is so much more satisfying!

Okay I see people my age chugging down fizzy sodas, energy drinks, and sugary coffees, and I think it's disgusting. Not just the unhealthiness as pretty much every non-homemade and non-diet food item in the U.S. is unhealthy nowadays, but the taste. I grew out of the fizzy, bubbly taste of those kinds of drinks when I was 13-14, now I'm older and I realize drinks like fruit juice and chocolate milk taste SO much better, and they are really healthy. Even if I have a soda available, I usually choose iced tea or water when a cup of orange juice, grape juice, etc. isn't available. My thirst is more easily satisfied and juice is easier to drink down than those carbonated drinks that I can't even chug due to all the bubbles. Do you guys like juice over soda? Why or why not?

I like drinking sodas too, but not that often. I would put lots of cubed ice in a glass and pour the soda on it. That way, it is diluted. I also like juice specially pure pineapple juice. I could consume 1 liter of pineapple juice in just two days. But it has to be really chilled so it would be so delicious!

Pineapple juice is definitely my favorite juice! Another favorite I have that's getting hard to find without making it myself is cherry juice, it's really sweet. What I do with soda, is just make soda ice cubes haha, then I just add it to the soda to make it taste the same and also be cold, I still enjoy drinking soda just not all the time, I see people drink it nonstop and I couldn't do that.

soda is so not good for you which is why we limit the amount of soda we have in the house. we had a house guest last year and if we bought a case, it would be gone the next day, he drank so much of it and so we stopped buying it. we since kicked him out but still dont buy soda (much to our teenagers chargrin!) but we do drink a lot of water and tea.

Tea tastes so good! I almost forgot about that as an option. However, I am guilty of putting sugar in my tea for taste, I can't drink it black although it still has a unique taste to it. Iced tea is also really good, whenever I make a pot of tea and I pour a cup, I refrigerate the rest and it's a good treat later with some tea ice cubes :D

One of the best energy drinks is pure water. There are very few if any bottled drinks that can compare. Fruit juice is only good if you squeeze it yourself from a fresh fruit. Bottled fruit juice is usually fruit juice with water, sugar and artificial flavors added. The company that sells the drink is interested in making money rather than the health benefit of the drink.

I know what you're talking about but I don't buy the normal "fruit drinks" that are common in stores. There's a store near me that sells concentrated fruit, it's a solid mass of blended fruit (usually one kind or a mixture of 2), it's pure fruit and nothing else, no other ingredients. You're supposed to thaw it out and mix it with water to make it drinkable, it's the best alternative I've found next to actually making my own fruit juice. I've tried it, but it takes like 20 oranges to make one liter of orange juice, and fruit isn't cheap around here!

I really like a cocoa cola more than fruit juices, I do like chocolate milk but is that really healthy? I have read that milk isn't really so healthy for adults.

I love juice, but I can't resist soda. I try not to drink it, but that is usually the only drink they have at fast food places. I don't even go to the unhealthy fast food places like McDonald's or Burger King. I go to Chinese food places and all natural pizza places which are supposed to be a bit healthier, but they still only serve soda as drinks.

I hate to admit it, but yes, I do enjoy the taste. I think it IS the fizz that people enjoy. I do enjoy water and juice as well. I think fresh lemonade is one of my favorite beverages. But I think you just get used to drinking one kind of drink and it's probably more of a habit. Now for energy drinks such as Red Bull, I think you must acquie a taste for those. I drank out of "necessity" a couple times as I was so exhausted and now actully (sort of) like the taste. Happy Thirst Quenching!
