God's 2x6

How often does God talk to us and we don't hear Him? Well, He tried his gentle voice with me, mmmm. no response from me. So He tried his 2x4...mmmm...no response from me. So He tried His 2x6, that got my attention. I am now listening and obeying. He has given me certain instructions and I am following them. It is much less painful listening to His gentle voice. Sometimes, with our busy lives, we get oblivious to the things around us. Specially if God is trying to tell us something. I would be like Elic up there, where I think God needs to bring out the 4x4 with me. I've been so jaded these past few years that I need a good snap to make me listen.

A 2x4 is a term in the construction trade for a piece of lumber that is 2 inches x 4 inches, usually used in framing walls.

I think he has to get out the 4x4 for me, I'm really thick... but he got me back to a church via The Cat Who... I guess you could say "The Cat Who got Elic to Church"
