I love to drink tea (milk tea). I drink twice a day - at early morning and at evening. One of my friend tell me that tea made our skin complexion black. Is it true? Please share your ideas or views here about good or bad effects of drinking tea.

In fact I don' think that drinking tea will make your skin darker. Whereas tea is good for the digestion. So your skin shall be better since you have a good digestion system. But if you drink tea when you are empty, then you may feel unfortable after that. And if you drink it at night, sometimes you may be sleepless after that. Besides these two disadvantages, I think tea is a healthy drink. I love China

I go through periods where I do drink a lot of black tea and then do not. I have never heard it discolors your skin at all. I have never had any side effects so many your friend is guessing maybe. It has a lot of health benefits by the way. So enjoy your tea.

I don't think there's any way it can turn skin black, unless you put it ON you instead of IN you, and even then, it wouldn't stain for very long. Tea is good for you in many ways, so don't worry about it.

i like tea. teas are diuretic so it makes you pee more than you expect to. hehe but for me, it sure is a great way to refresh you body, besides tea has really good effects in your body and it has a lot of anti oxidant too.

I can drink tea all day long when allowed. I love hot tea usually my flavored teas are what I love the most such as English Breakfast, Darjeeling, Vanilla, Raspberry, Strawberry, green teas. All of these I drink hot with water and sugar. Regular black tea I will drink hot and cold. Everything I read has good aspects of drinking teas. With the different parts of the tea, white, green and black there will be different allowances of flavnoids. I have drank tea for many years and I have never had black complexion. maybe that is an old wives myth? I will research and see what I can find on it

I have been drinking tea for years now and it hasnt turn my skin black. They also say drinking tea has a lot of health benefits, so I don't think it's going to turn your skin black. They tell people who don't like coffee to drink tea. I mean I dont know what kind of tea your drinking but I doubt that it is going to turn your skin black. I think your safe. It can actually lower your chance of getting cancer, having heart disease and it helps stop tooth decay so Im pretty sure youre not going to turn colors.

I often drink in the afternoon(not milk tea, just tea). It's refreshing, but sometimes I can't fall asleep at night because effect of caffein lasts till then.I don't think tea makes our skin complexion black,I myself didn't feel it.

I'd also like to add that tea is good at helping your digestive system. And no, it won't turn your skin black. I've gone back to drinking it after too long a time drinking instant coffee (which didn't help me with my weight.)
